The Runner's thread

I have, however, washed my running sleeve with the phone in it. That is a bit of a problem.

4.17 miles at a 9:07 pace. Legs were dragging after 4 days off. Also dealing with a bad case of poison ivy/sumac. Sweat had me itching like crazy.

4.56 miles at a 9:05 pace. I don't think I want to push my distance much farther than 5 miles for the near . I've noticed as I have added distance my pace has slowed a little(as expected I guess).

just over 3 miles today, 8:07 pace. Training my replacement, clearing and moving really slowed down my availability to run. Well, that and having farewell get togethers with all my friends at Bragg. Mostly that honestly. And that mostly involved eating so that didn't help. Going to do 3-4 days a week for two or three weeks to build back momentum and then I will try the 40 days of running for the third time. Third time's a charm right? Fingers crossed.

3.2 Wednesday and 4 today. Legs are getting beat down. It's time to take more than three days off. Vacation is coming up in a little over a week. Sounds like a good time to rest.

So trail running is exponentially better than road running.

I finished the Dances With Dirt - Devil's Lake 10k in 1:26:??. We had to go up and down one double black diamond and one black diamond ski hill. Our course had the the same elevation gain as the half marathon, but in less distance. It hurt. It was absolutely beautiful, though.

I'm signing up for a half marathon trail race on Aug 9th.

I have added jumping rope to my cardio. Hello sore calves.

4 rounds of 250 skips? Hops? Jumps?

Last round of 350 just to up the ante.
