The Runner's thread

Recently got hamstring compression sleeves and started using as post-run recovery. Still too early to know how well they work, but so far does seem to be helping. Might be something to consider for calves if everything else is in order (shoes, stretching, hydration).

I am giving those a shot right now to see if it will help. Only been a couple runs though.

Three miles this morning. Really struggled between, heat, not enough water, eating poorly and drinking while vacation. But it will pay off in the end.

Four miles this morning. This vacation has really proved to me how important nutrion, water intake and rest are to your running. I have struggled with my runs all week long.

3.3 last night. Felt pretty good. Felt good to get back to drinking enough water and eating right again after vacation.

Vacations are for slackers.:whistling: I'm just jelli. I'll finally be able to take a vacation come October. 82 days away...

It's amazing what a nice cool morning will do for your run.

5.16 miles at a 9:11 pace.(my pace was faster, I'm guessing closer to 8:55 but I got stopped by 2 people arriving at work.) I felt decent afterwards.

That brings my total for the month to 46.35 miles.

I like the nike run app for the most part. I wish the screen would black out without pausing my run though. Having the screen lit up drains my battery.

Just snuck out the back and ran.

3.11 in 26:35. That's my fastest 5k since I've been back running. About 3min off my best.

 I ran while I was on vacation but it was obvious that I was eating poorly and not drinking enough water. My times and distances suffered.
