The Runner's thread

Been gone for a while but still been running. I reached my goal of 500 miles last year and passed it. I ended up getting about 540 for the year last year. I set a goal of 600 for this year. So far this year I have just over 64 miles in. Looking forward to getting some longer runs in and getting ahead of schedule.

First run since my toe disagreed with a muddy mountain bike trail 6 weeks ago. 5 miles, a little uncomfortable, but the weather and music were superb.

6.29 miles today on the treadmill. 8:20 pace and every fourth lap was a 7:00 pace so whatever that comes out to.

81 for the year, which means I'm only 9 days off the pace. Got some work to do.

919 to go for the year!

7.04 miles running the first 5 with an Italian Air Force E-9. Beautiful day for a run. 55 degrees and mountain scenery.

88 for the year, 912 to go. Still slowly catching up!

Running 4.5 miles of the Myrtle Beach Marathon (relay) tomorrow. Been back running for a couple of months. Left ankle bothering me.

I probably logged 15-17 miles walking yesterday trying to see all of Rome in 5 hours. Only time I ran though was to get catch my train back to the airport hotel. Logged almost 30 miles in Italy, with Temps in the 40s and 50s. Headed back to winter storm. So sad.

8k and Half Marathon in March. The Shamrock Dolphin Challenge. Then in April I am signed up to kill myself on the hills of the Nashville Country Music Marathon. Will make catching up my lost miles a lot easier. I have a lot of training to do!

Ran my first 1/2 marathon yesterday in Myrtle Beach. Goal was under 2 hours. I finished in 1:54:40 @ 8:45 pace. The flat race helped a lot

10k on Saturday. Haven't set foot on dirt in the new year and likely won't for a while. Supposed to snow on Sat and there's already a good amount of snowbon the trails. Maybe I'll skip it...

Six miles in the snow, no falls. No shorts over the running tights. And fwiw, They. Are. Awesome. Kept me nice and warm.

The run was way more fun than I ever expected. Don't think I've ever ran more light footed!

Found a new Asics windproof jacket at Marshalls last night for $28. May be the best purchase I've ever made. Kept me warm on my windy and cold bike ride to work this morning. I can't wait to run it in.
