Not exactly running, but I hiked Camelback in 29 minutes on Saturday. It had been a goal to do it in under 30' for quite some time. It's only 1.14 miles, but you gain 1300+ feet. It's pretty brutal. First time I did it took me like 70 minutes (I was maybe 20 lbs overweight).
3.3 yesterday afternoon. Put me at 100 for the year. It was a good run. Decent pace with some good hills thrown in the middle of the run. The best thing about yesterday's run is I really didn't want to run.
Just finished the 5.8m route again. 39 degrees and light rain. They closed schools here last night due to fear of freezing rain this morning. It was 41 at school time. We don't get a lot of practice closing schools here.

Miami Beach half this morning in 2:03. Toughest half I've run. 74 at 6:15 and humid. Four bridges on the course. I think once will be enough for this one.

Thanks and I agree about temps. I was initially disappointed that I missed my under 2 hour target for the first time, but on that course with today's conditions I'll take it.
I've been running in weather like this for 3 years now and have largely adjusted, but hate it. I think what made the last run so bad was that it had been much cooler for the last few long runs. The 10-15 extra degrees, high humidity and bridges combined to make it rough.
I hate sub-freezing just as much, but would take upper 30s over 70s/humid all day.
I've been letting my ankle and knees rest while it's been stupid cold out. Ordered some new Altra Superior 2.0 trail shoes today. Going from Brooks Ghost 7, which I am certainly not happy with after being elated with the Ghost 6.
I've had great luck with the Asics Gel Kayanos, but I'm thinking of changing it up this spring. Any flat-footers tried the New Balance 1260v4's? I like them in orange
ran a ton of sprints both Monday and today, but no idea how far because I didn't have anything to measure with. Finished the evening with 3.05 miles in shorts and a tshirt in 60 degree weather! Loved it, even though snow and ice is coming back tomorrow. Soooo much catching to do. Aiming for the 100 mile march, hopefully even more. Anyone else participating?
