The Runner's thread

Hey folks, I'm not a runner, but my wife is. She's been going through chemotherapy for breast cancer the last few months. The Doc says that she is going to be okay, but she's going to need more treatments then surgery. She's got a long road ahead of her, but she'll get there. She really misses running. She has ran the marathon down at Disney World twice, and ran the one at Disneyland once. She really enjoys running, I ride my Harley for fun she runs (guess who stays in better shape). The next time you runners are out, run a little further for her. She'll be running again soon.

Hope she heals quickly. Will gladly run a little faster and a little farther until she's back on the trails with us Shoney

3 last night. I am going to have to have a big month this month to get back on track. I am about 20 miles behind thanks to last month. If I want to reach my goal of 600 for the year.

Back home in Johnson City for a couple weeks of leave. I have lots of asphalt routes here, but does anyone know of some good running trails? There's plenty to hike, but I want a nice trail run. Thanks in advance.

I didn't run when I lived in JC but my roommate ran at Warriors Path state Park a lot, maybe check it out?

4 last night. Felt good to get that distance in with some ease. I need to get some six and seven mile runs in this month to get back on track.

4 Saturday and 4 Sunday. Hoping its not raining too hard tonight and get at least another three in. I am determined to get caught up.

Just regular PT gear plus a Baclava (down) and Arctic Mittens (which are the s***).

The new pt gear or the old stuff? The new jacket and pants aren't nearly as warm as the old stuff. For me, I consider that a plus. Seems like bad times for you.

I wore the new stuff today. I will be going back to the old stuff for that exact reason. The new pants are terrible for cold weather.

I wore the new jacket and pants yesterday for the first time and literally wondered how Drum, Alaska and some of the colder spots in OCONUS duty stations would work with this stuff. I think they will likely mandate some sort of change soon.
