Why is that, the aliens looking to round up a buncha dumbasses?

It's because a dumbass is the only one who will tell others what he saw.

An intelligent person won't say anything for fear of being thought of a loon

In the history of college football, every program has fallen after a precipitous rise. Saban's career has been mind numbing. He has unquestionably had more 5 stars pan out than any other coach in the history of college football. He has never had a first team qb lost for the season due to injuries. He also has the sec office next door in Birmingham where the entire organization is staffed with Bama homers! Can you imagine if the sec offices were in maryville? We would never hear the end of it, but the sec membership is oblivious to this advantage!!!!! In addition, that worm mike slive loves Bama. But it will all come crashing down this year!!!!!!!!!
Pssst . . . Remember the 2001 SEC Championship Game when his QB and Tailback went down?

Okay...so you just said the following:

1) Mind numbing career
2) More 5* players pan out than any other coach
3) Never lost a starting QB to injuries for the season...

Not to mention:

2007- #10 class nationally (this is the year he came back)
2008 - #1
2009 - #1
2010 - #5
2011 - #1
2012 - #1
2013 - #1
2014 - #1
2015 - #1 currently
2016 - Already has a 5* and 2 4*'s committed...

Since 2007, he has lost 15 games, and 6 of them came in that first year...

3 BCS Championships...

And you think for some reason this year, he's all of a sudden going to tank?

You quote not having DB's to keep up, but yet he signed 2 5* DBs and a 4* last year?

I mean, I hate Bama as much as the next guy....

But you're crazy if you think that he is on the decline.

Nick Saban will stop being a factor when he retires. Or Dies. Whichever comes first.

You need to bring other logic into this discussion other than recruiting ratings. If Bama recruits or offers a prospect, they get a bump to at least a 4 star. It feeds on itself.
Nobody saw the Bear losing his grip either. It will happen, is happening, and much sooner than you realize. He has no qb at the present time. And furthermore, every db he had last year was a 4 or 5 star. They sucked along with his non existent pash rush, compiled of much ballyhooed recruits. It is ovah!

...and of he's so loathe to make changes, why was he originally a 4-3 guy that switched to 3-4?

Talk to me after the season when alabama has a 14-1 record..
Talk to me after Bama leads the SEC in total offense and their coaches are hailed as GENIUS for switching offenses to keep up with the modern game…

And Lane Kiffin is hired as the new Ball Coach in Gainesville, thus making the hate run very deep for GatorNation. Question is, will LawGator99 meltdown if my prediction comes true.

...and if Bear Bryant was playing with such an antiquated offense, how'd he win 10 games a year, a national title and 3 SEC titles in his last 5 seasons?

LSU is a bigger priority right now.

Tennessee week might as well be a bye week at this point in time

In Alabama, you beat Tennessee and you beat Auburn. Period. If you fail to do so - let's just say it's not pretty.

LSU just happens to be another good team in the division that automatically becomes a rivalry. Much like Florida/Tennessee came about in the 90's.

I'm not sure you understand the Alabama/Tennessee rivalry.

I spent some time there and I've seen the other side. Trust me.

A&M is about to become a bigger rival to Bama in the short term than we are.

Honestly, we're going to have to earn the right back to call it a rivalry. It's just another game to them nowadays.

I agree that in the next few years, we'll be competitive, and good times are coming.

But I just don't see how anyone could say that Bama is declining. I think that the spread is just becoming narrower.

The SEC West has improved from almost top to bottom. The SEC East however, not so much. Florida hasn't been the same since Tebow and Meyer left, Vandy was a blip on a radar, and they'll go back to being nothing. Kentucky is only still in the SEC because of the basketball revenue...Missouri was a nice add, but I don't expect to see them get consistent results like they did last year...UGA is consistently good, but not a threat to win a NC, or even the SEC Championship. South Carolina is about the same as UGA. I never see them winning a SEC Championship as long as the West is how it is.

Cool fact I saw today:

Tennessee was the last team to repeat SEC championships. In 1997-1998. Nobody has done it since.

I understand.

But, let's get real. Beating Tennessee isn't really on the list of concerns right now.

Not exactly a mountain that needs to be climbed

I think the angst for every sec east fan is the division is sitting there waiting to be dominated.

Honestly, the future is as bright at Tennessee, or more so, than every other divisional school

What does that have to do with the price of tea? We beat them in Knoxville in the same season. Hard to beat someone twice, especially coming off one of the most stirring upsets in vol history.

You said he'd never lost his starting QB to a season ending injury. Just pointing out that he actually had and it was against us and he adjusted and won.

Agreed. This reminds me of the SEC in 2002 right after Spurrier left. Only now, the role of Phil Fulmer is being played by Mark Richt.

You're right. I'm not using logic at all. I should instead just go with my feelings and say that he is losing his touch, it's bound to happen, and since his defense wasn't lights out last year, but still managed to almost win a NC, that it's "ovah."

Ridiculous man. I have zero reason to believe that Bama will miss a step. The ONLY reason I have doubts about them winning a NC, is because the media picked them to win the SEC, and normally, that's a curse.

But, I do believe they'll make the playoffs, and I do believe that they'll most likely win the NC.

This is spot on IMO.

How long will spurrier be at Carolina?

If Richt were going to grab the division by the throat, he'd have done it be now.

Florida is up a creek without a paddle.

Ky and vandy, it just can't be done at those schools.

Not sure it can be done at mizzou either.

That leaves Tennessee

I don't think Florida is as helpless as you make them out to be, but I see what you're saying. Georgia fans have to be disappointed. They won the east, what? once with Murray at the helm, a SEC record setting QB?
