The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

This protest has never been about the troops. It has nothing to do with them. Using their deaths to shut up your political opponents is disrespectful to their sacrifice, IMO.

Ahem.....

Yeah, but welfare doesn't raise patriotic testicles quite like sending off boys to die does.

You’re proving my point.

You can be offended by whatever the hell you want. You are offended by NFL players because you are intentionally ignoring what they’re saying. No one is claiming that your opinion is a sign that America is dead.
They don't even know what they are saying.

His poll numbers looked bad last Oct also.

To many sources, the race looked close in Hillary's favor.

These approval numbers, in every state, by all accounts/sources, have plummeted in the first year.

Your low key defense is rendered invalid by overwhelming evidence.

And you are telling me I should not care about someone disrespecting my fallen Vietnam war brothers; and all America's fallen soldiers-whether from the Revolution or those 2017 fallen heros who are to date:

Staff Sergeant Aaron R. Butler
Hostile fire - IED attack
Nangarhar Province

Specialist Christopher Michael Harris
Hostile fire - IED attack Kandahar

Sergeant Jonathon Michael Hunter
Hostile fire - IED attack
Kandahar

Private 1st Class Hansen B
Kirkpatrick
Hostile fire - indirect fire
Helmand

Sergeant Eric M. Houck
Hostile fire - small arms fire
Nangahar Achin district

Sergeant William M. Bays Hostile fire - small arms fire Nangahar Achin district

Corporal Dillon C. Baldridge
Hostile fire - small arms fire Nangahar Achin district

Sergeant Joshua P. Rodgers,
Hostile fire - small arms fire Southern Nangarhar province

Sergeant Cameron H. Thomas
Hostile fire - small arms fire Southern Nangarhar province

Staff Sergeant Mark R. DeAlencar
Hostile fire - small arms fire
Nangarhar

Sergeant 1st Class Robert R. Boniface
Non-hostile
Logar

So NFL players and those who support them like you want me to disregard their blatant disrespecting of a ceremony that by it's very nature honors all American war dead.

BUT

You get to be offended by statues over 1-1/2 centuries ago most folk didn't know existed.

You are displaying the height of hypocrisy.

Out of one side of your mouth you are telling me, and the millions who agree with me, what we can't be offended by. And out of the other side of your mouth you are now telling us we have to accept not only disrespecting the fallen, but the offense you take over whatever is your issue du jour.

No.

Who are the two idiots who fell for the emotional appeal/red herring and liked this post?

Also, why do the GOP Trumphumpers on VN always "delete" their posts? You guys letting your hormones get the better of ya?
I deleted one yesterday in this thread, directed at Nashvol11. I deemed it to be to mean, and I am trying to cultivate a kindler, gentler persona after my sabbatical from the forum.

Rather hear the red herring than all the NFL gibberish. Overpaid athletes.. and before you ask. No.. I have not watched 1 game this season.
