The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

Jerry made it very clear who the Cowboys players and coaches work for. If you pull that crap while representing the Cowboys organization you’re done. Some griped but nobody tested it (that I’m aware of).

Yep. if you're super rich you can back your ass up to the wall and challenge the world. :aggressive:

You found something I care even less about than the NFL. Well done.

I find it very concerning that I've seen many people retweeting articles written in major publications that call today's new rule on kneeling "modern day slavery". This ignorant **** has to stop. It's disrespectful, it shows that if you agree with it that you have zero historical knowledge or perspective.

Slavery, NAZI, Hitler, fascists, communists, Mussolini, KKK.

All these terms are overused and should be done away with when referring to modern day America by the MSM or any other dip **** that can get an op-ed piece published in the Indy Star.

Absolutely spot on. Honestly, I dont see why so many people have such a problem with the new rule.

You're really investing this much energy in trying to pick an internet pissing contest from a passing remark? Really? Kind of sad, huff. Like i said, I'm trying to let it go so I'm not acting like you. If you need an apology to get on with the rest of your day, I will give it.

What are you talking about?

Been in place In the NBA for almost 20 years
20 years? Interesting... I wonder who was the catalyst for that?

Still no anthem, still no regrets for Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf — The Undefeated

Twenty years later, despite losing prime years of NBA stardom, enduring death threats and having his home burned to the ground, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf still does not stand for the national anthem.

People must love that flag more than they do the life and property of other people...

And that represented what percentage of the population 60+ years ago? The second some idiot wears some white supremacist crap or swastika to school it’s on National news. No way those morons can organize in large groups in this day and age. That’s a good thing.

That was how you pledged allegiance back in the day. Everybody did it.

Books are typically more reliable than prima facie opinions of internet zealots.

Do you think everything you were taught out of a history text book is/ was reliable? Would an authors opinions have any effect on the reliability of his written word? Do you read history text from only authors who support your version? Was Lincoln a great man or a divider? Was FDR a great man or a socialist? Was Reagan a good president or no? Was GW Bush a warmonger or a pawn? Was Obama a uniter or a divider?

Sure, books are subject to bias but there is quite a lot more effort (as well as expense) put into publishing a book than an anonymous off-the-cuff message board comment.

Are you arguing that the Bellamy salute is revisionist history?
