The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

So no praying before games?

If they just want to watch football, why do we have a flag ceremony at all?

Why the hell did the athletes working at their damn job have to go ruin something that’s been in place for decades.

So the athletes are right for pushing their political views on me while they are being paid to entertain me? BS. Shut the hell up play the damn game and then get in your civies and go stand on the street corner by the guy with the John 3:16 sign.

The overpaid cry babies act badly and your answer is to reward them for their behavior by taking away the ceremony? BS.

Sometimes I wonder what the reaction would be had the players been protesting something very dear to the left like abortion.

It’s their right to protest. Just don’t do it at work and cry foul when your employer decides it’s no longer acceptable because it’s making their wallets lighter.

The players shouldn’t want to do anything that hurts profits either considering that’s how they get bad.

Don't get it twisted, I think both sides of this flag issue are morons. The people taking a knee don't seem to have any direction or productive solutions and the right wing snowflakes have got their panties all soiled because someone peacefully took a knee before playing a kid's game on Sunday afternoons.

First world problems

Calm yourself down, bro. That wasn't a solution, it was a probing question based on his statement.

JFC, people are insane about this topic.

A majority of the people that pay these athlete’s salaries have a problem with it apparently and have spoken with the result showing in league revenues. Working as intended. Why do you feel the need to tell us all how wrong we are for voting with our own money. It’s elitist as a minimum.

What specifically are you referring to that has been ruined after so many decades?

BS. What’s insane is overpaid babies acting entitled in a situation they have no right to do so in and people letting them have a pass on it. The fact that it’s related to the Athem is just this case’s context. The real issue is entitled ******* athletes thinking I give a damn what they care about when I just want to relax in my own down time.

Shut up and play. Dance monkey dance!!

You can wipe your butt with your money for all I care. I'm not judging you on how you choose to spend your money.

That isn't the point.

The point is that most people are getting bent out of shape over a peaceful protest before a kid's game.

The playing of the Anthem in general at sporting events. It goes back to early 1900’s.

I know the players have only been required to be present since 2000’s. So if they can’t act like adults send their asses back to the locker room. Problem solved.

Do it on their own damn time not mine.

First world entertainment.

Yeah, if this is how you look at sports, you have bigger problems than kneeling

Maybe you are the entitled one, judging by this deliciously ironic post.

You come off as a spoiled baby with this post more than an NFL player kneeling. This is all based on your hurt feelings, as you like to often denigrate liberals for. Total lack of self awareness.

Seems like the only ones getting emotional are those making emotional arguments about saluting a piece of cloth.

I think people can interpret participating in honoring the flag and singing the National Anthem however they want. If it’s showing that you are grateful for our country and those that inhabit it that’s up to you. If it’s just “ saluting a piece a cloth” that’s up to you too. However, you nor I should make the assumption of what it should be to someone else.
