The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

OK, I get it. You still think it was about statues even though it was organized by the following groups:

The Nationalist Front
The Daily Stormer
Vanguard America
The Traditionalist Worker Party

....just name a few of the White Nationalist Groups who helped organize the rally.

When I think of the above, I don't think of them trying to protect your 1A Rights. They are there for one reason and one reason only. A telltale sign should have been when they lit their torches the night before and chanted "Seig Heil", or maybe you would have noticed all the Swastika signs they were carrying.

Sorry, I don't know of any "good people" who attend this type of rally.
That's because you're a racist ….and a bigot.

Exactly, you're talking about the past. The side you're on, always talks about the past. You never move forward, just rehash everything over and over again.

I'm saying there is very few KKK members anymore, but you guys just keep beating a dead horse.
Huff reaches into the vault of the past for good arguing material. It's what he does.

To answer your question, though, I largely didn't know wtf his opinions on race were as a private citizen. If he ran as a Democrat and opened with the "some, I assume, are good people" garbage, it would raise the same red flag with me that it did when he said it.

Whether you believe it or not, true racism bothers me. All this crap about CK kneeling and not getting picked up because he's a black man taking a stand annoys me. If he had done it when he was the star, I'd never say a word, but waiting till he's losing his job, then using it as a stand is bull Imo. Same with the racist stuff about Trump, only after he runs as a republican. I have black friends, and black family, real racism irks me. I have Mexican friends, one who was here illegally for years. I get that people are racist, but not everything is about that. You know who dislikes illegal Mexicans more than the dirty white southerner? Around here anyway, it's the legal Mexican people. You keep fussing about us crying over "the attack on white Christians ", yet in almost every post, you're doing just that. Bringing up Christians or whiteness.

Lawsuits are a dime a dozen counselor......

And accusations are free to allege. What is your point?

The questions was why wasn't anyone accusing Trump of being a racist prior to 2015? They were accusing him. In fact, they paid for the pleasure of accusing him. There were formal accusations but all the Trump fans say that doesn't count...

He took his stand when it became a national conversation. I don't see why that's any "easier" for him as a backup than as a starter; in fact, being a backup when he did it made him a lot more expendable, as we've seen.

I don't think your last sentence is the logical equivalence you think it is--at all--but yes, when the dominant majority goes from 85% dominant to 75% dominant and then starts whining about how America hates them because they have a little less (but still most of the) power, I am 100% attacking that. It's the most fragile thing ever.

Slum Lord Trump!!!!.....do you have specific knowledge that they paid to bring suit......ya know......Trump has the "deep pockets" that all the "for the people" attorneys advertise to go after on contingency......

The context of my post was a conservative (Ob) mentioned the Civil War. How can I respond to him without talking about history? You had no idea what you were commenting on and you still don't know.

He's been sued for being a racist dating back to the 70s.

I never heard anyone badmouthing Obama before he ran for president either.

Fair point, and I'll be honest, republicans annoyed me with the Obama is the Antichrist crap. The losing side is always gonna make the winner out to be the devil, I get that. It's just not everyone who voted for Trump is a white southern racist like some posters like to portray. My own parents who have never in their life voted republican, ever, did so this past time. It wasn't because they hate minorities, thought Trump was gonna fire the kkk back up, or cleanse the world of Mexicans. It was simply because of Hillary, and there are many more like them. The left just can't accept that, and they gotta call everyone a racist to justify it.

You are looking for reasons to be angry when there aren't any. Presidential candidates come under way more scrutiny; duh.

If I asked someone to tell me what Bill Gates thinks about race, no one has a clue. If he runs as a Democrat and says he wants to get rid of all Confederate statues, Republicans would be furious at him. Only after he started running as a Democrat. There's nothing noteworthy about that; correlation does not equal causation.

Yes, because in order file a lawsuit one must pay the court. But you still seem to be missing my point. It is far easier to SAY Trump is a racist than it is to file a lawsuit. Neither are proven, but to say that he's never been accused is just plain stupid.

All of this still goes both ways. Lots of people who had typically voted Republican didn't, because of Trump, not because they wanted safe spaces or loved Hillary.

Serious question, why didn't any of you liberals call Trump a racist before he ran as a republican? And don't say because of immigration, because bill Clinton and Obama both spoke against illegals. Was it because he actually said he'd do something about it? Has he actually said anything about black people being beneath whites? I mean seriously, show me something other than "he's racist". I'm not a fan of him anyway, but I wanna know why you say he's racist?

Dims campaign leadership and the MSM were looking for anything they could to sling mud at the opposition. They found that Trump follows up on evictions of renters for lease violations as fast as the law allowed, making him a big ol meanie who's not nice. Then someone found that a high % these of evictions were of black folk. I do not know the specifics here, but I believe he wound up in court over it.

So, during the campaign the reporters began asking if he was a racist. Or even worse, "Why are you a racist"? Sort of the old "Why do you beat your wife Mr. Jones"? divorce lawyer kind of question that leads the listener to see the target in a bad light, whether or not deserved.

So this went on every day with Trump telling reporters he's not a racist. Landlords have rights too, etc. This is I believe the final straw that opened Trump's eyes to the fact that so many of the media are left wing SJW whose goal wasn't to report on the conservative/right/Republican candidate, but use any means at their disposal to attack that candidate and get their angel baby HiLIARly elected.

So this went on every day for just short of a month. One day Trump gets so frustrated with what he has now come to understand, FIRSTHAND, as the yellow rag "MSM" left wing political organ modus operandi, he did not respond when asked the question for the umpteenth time.

So, the yellow dog leftwing hacks took that and spun that into a tacit admission that he was.

I've got no use for the socialist far left wing, their media lap dogs, their agenda for America. The Dimocrat party can rot in hell.

Heck I get that, that's why I'm independent.

You might need to go back a little further and find out where the civil war posts started. It seems you are the one lost.

Dang it's been fun, but I gotta get ready for work. Don't tell anyone I said I had black or Mexican friends, it'll ruin the whole racist Joe thing. 🤣🤣

Yes, if I understand the argument correctly, CWV is guilty of furthering a revisionist history, though I don't think he's aware of it.
Nixon won 4 of 11 states of the Confederacy in 1968, and 11 of 11 when running against the anti-war Hippie liberal party in 1972. George Wallace, who had always been a Democrat won 5 or 6 as an Independent in 68.

The acceptance of anti-war, anti-police movement of the dirty long hair hippie types cost the Dems greatly in the South in the late 60's early 70's. It was only partially about race.
