The Virginia Gov race

Slavery became increasingly bad as society progressed.
That’s an interesting notion.

There was no good slavery and bad slavery, and definitely no good time to be enslaved.

Would I have preferred enslavement in Antiquity or during the TransAtlantic Trade? Or some other time?

I have no idea.

Imagine thinking there is a continuum to enslaving humans 😂😂😂

If I were making lesson plans, I guess it would depend on the class and subject I was teaching.
But just curious, how many times has whitey been bad?.....and did any of those times have a significant historical impact?
How many times has the yellow man been bad? The black man? None are innocent

I already counted you among the nuts.
The minions would be anyone who believes CRT is actually an issue to get worked up over.
We've had a number of parents in our district complain about teachers teaching CRT (which they don't). In every instance, the parent has been a right wing nut and completely clueless.

Have you considered that sometimes CRT is a misnomer given to issues that the parents feel are worth getting worked up over?

I tend to think all of the culture war BS is BS but also heard some anecdotes in the last few weeks that seemed more reasonable than just grumping about CRT without knowing what it is.

I think that is probably true.

This has been going on in school systems since 9/11 with regard to Islam.
It is difficult to teach world history without teaching about Islam.
This is nothing new.
Too many people in this country now need hobbies.

The cities are where gentrification is affecting the poor and minorities the most and what political persuasion runs most of our cities?
Exactly.... and what government approves all those projects? Too bad these people keep voting in people that continually cut their throats

Rural Democrats Stare into the Abyss after Virginia

Rural Democrats say the party’s problems on their turf are twofold.

90

As Democrats sort through the wreckage of their loss in Virginia, a familiar feeling is creeping over the dwindling number of rural officials left in the party: They have seen this show before.

Republican Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin’s performance in the suburbs, where he clawed back ground former President Donald Trump and the GOP had lost in recent elections, got the most attention before and after election night. But another key ingredient of his victory was blowout strength in the rural areas of the state, drawing high turnout, setting new marks for Republican support and squeezing Democrats to record-low shares of the vote in small county after small county.

You guys are reading into this much more than you should. Biden won because he ran against Trump. It had nothing to do with Biden's policies or some big movement left (Biden was pretty much in the middle of the Dem candidates).
One thing these elections should highlight is how much Trump was despised by tens of millions of voters. (and still is)
Just like Hillary.

Which is why I didn't support her in the 2016 primaries.
I likewise didn’t favor her or trump. I do admit it was funny to have some on both sides expose they have a soft underbelly of emotion and their true nature. I didn’t expect trump to win.

Oh BB, I know we have our differences but this truly makes me sad. I’m sorry brother.
Thank you... and I will be fine. I have been avoiding the politics forum the last few days because I acted like such a **** last week, and because we had a pretty big win yesterday, and I've been on the football forum, but I've read all the words of encouragement and appreciate them all. Even if I haven't replied to them. Thanks... and Go Vols!

Hope you land on your feet brother! Best of luck!
