They just don't get it . . .

Seriously. All hostility aside. I encourage all opponents of this to go to the Senate's website and read over this bill. I guarantee it is nowhere near what is being made of this bill. It actually takes securing the border to the Nth level and hits on all other areas to work on this. It is not perfect and nothing is or will be. Just with any bill there are loopholes. But this bill does far more to address the problems faced by illegal immigration. It hits on all facets. This is not the final bill and it will be worked over for the next few weeks. But in no way this is not amnesty. If this is amnesty, then paying parking tickets are as well.

Sorry Cspin. I have heard this bill is 900 pages long. I don't have time for that. I do rely on newspapers, internet, and talk radio to learn about it. Amnesty or not, I have no faith it and have no use for the useless representatives that try to pass this sh*t off as if they are really doing something.

No, please keep going. You have really bought into this. And I see why, the history is so good on enforcing the laws of immigration. Band-aid on something proven not to work? What has proven not to work? I did not know we have tried anything?

Well then you've missed out on the fencing that has gone up, the National Guard that has moved along the Mexican border, etc. I bought into this because it's by far the best bill we've had. Again, your preferred method has proven to not work. If you have your way, we will see more illegals come here. You and I will pay more to cover the costs. So your method does nothing at all to solve anything and it keeps the problem growing. So yeah, I buy into actually going to the root of the problem and going after all aspects rather than do something that has not worked by itself.

Got to the border and they told me to get the h&ll away from them and that they don't give a darn if I have no job or no money. They said Mexico is for Mexicans.

Please watch Lou Dobbs at 6estern 3pacific on CNN today. You need to get your facts right. Then come back after having seen the show. Thanks.

So you prefer to listen to biased opinion to decide for you? It's not that hard to read. I actually took some minor personal time to read over the bill. I focused on what your talk radio thinks is amnesty. I see the counter to this bill being status quo and giving the pundits a reason to gripe about something. Clearly I have no use for people who are paid to talk to tell me what something is when I can read it for myself. When I see firsthand it is not what they say it is, I find out who is really credible and who even cares to read the bill to begin with. I don't care if people care less about this bill. But when someone comes to me completely against this and has not even taken the time to read what they're rabidly against, it's hard to take them for any credibility.

Sorry. I do my reading for myself. I don't need someone else to think for me. If you rely on Dobbs to think for you, I guess I need to ignore you and just go to Lou to debate it.

All I have to say is read the bill and show me specifics of where this bill offers amnesty or is bad. Show me sections of the bill you don't like. I'm not talking to Dobbs or Limbaugh. I'm asking YOU what in this bill you do not like. Don't give me regurgitated nonsense. I want your words from the bill itself.

What fencing has gone up? 10 miles worth? My preferred method has not worked? Really? I don't think my preferred method has been attempted in all honesty. That is different from "not worked".

Are you with the Southern Poverty Law Center by chance? Sure sounds like it.:ermm:

THE FENCE IS WORKING is San Diego. PERIOD. Quit saying that it doesn't work. Get your facts right.

Really? What about in Laredo? Don't think so. What about all of the tunnels being found? What of the ports up and down the east and west coast? What about those who come here with visas and just let them expire? Hmmm. Your method does not work. Get YOUR facts right.

Yes, reading a bill from a bunch of people that don't enforce current law is a good way to find credible information.

And you agree with the only Socialist in Congress - Sen Bernie Sanders (S) VT along with the AFL-CIO. Are you a card carrying member of the Socialist Party or a union? Your points against this are the same as theirs.

So are you a big fan of Lindsey Graham? The undistinguished senator from South Carolina? He said anyone who is against this bill is basically a racist. NICE...

Hey CS, what happened to the 1986 Bill they promised would fix everything? I thought that was the answer to our problems. How did things end up worse?

Again, it's hard to enforce the current law with a handful of agents and millions of illegals. So I guess we will see nothing done. Congrats on such a worthy goal and accomplishment.

 So you supported the 1986 bill that was supposed to put an end to illegal immigration? Why should we trust you now? What has changed?

I guess Reagan wasn't golike after all. This bill is not the same. So nice try on comparing the two. While you're dreaming that the fence is working I hope you're not overrun by those illegals still flocking to your area.

Read that bill yet? Or still depending on Dobbs to think for you?

So write a few page bill authorizing more agents. I guess it takes 900 pages to do this.
