The 2022 offense is never coming back. It doesn’t have to, though.I agree. We are very lucky our schedule was manageable this year. We could have had a Florida schedule and went 6-6. I really think Heupel has hit his peak. I’m still waiting for the 2022 offense to return. But it’s been no where near that the past two years.
I disagree that its stupid to at least discuss the idea of looking around. This was a Butch Jones performance. The whole idea of this post was to point out the fact that we are in a good position still. thus making it easier to attract coaches. Would you rather make a HC hire now, or in 2 years if the wheels start to come off. Our offense is a big concern whether you recognize it or not.So stupid. I mean in the history of window licking moronic posts this has to be up there.
We are a central location surrounded by states with talent. I dont think its unreasonable to think we could recruit top 5 somewhat regularlyI don’t think it’s possible to get top 5 classes here. You have to have 80-90% blue chip classes to do that now and we don’t have nearly enough in-state talent compared to Georgia or Alabama.
That thinking worked fine in the 90s when Georgia went 6-6 every year and we could take whoever we wanted. Almost every kid in the top 10 in Georgia signed with Georgia this year. It’s much harder to convince a kid to leave his home state to come here when Home State U is a regular contender. We are a central location surrounded by states with talent. Redshirt Freshman. And I hate to say it, but if we have bad receivers who is to blame. Same with OL. Its been pretty obvious we've had weaknesses for a couple of years now and no changes have been made.Brother we were in the playoffs with a freshman QB, **** WRs and oline. I think CJH isn’t the problem. We need more dues and better coaching at certain positions. Now you can flame Josh if he doesn’t make the changes sure, but right now dude has behind overachieved in 4 years here. Two 10 win season, 2-2 against Bama and UF. Protects Neyland stadium. 2020 we were left for dead. Josh has done a tremendous job.

Its not the same for obvious reasons. Taking a year to grasp the offense is a big deal.
