'19 TN WR Kendrell Scurry

This kid, and his teammate TJ Sheffield, have been picking up big time offers lately.

Still committed to the Vols, but they're still open to whats out there. Has there been any update as to whether Beard has been able to build any kind of relationship with the player, or if he's been to Knoxville at all recently?

Scurry is probably a 5 star everywhere by the time he signs.

I like the way he throws the football. I have not seen him run the ball once, but he can really throw the ball.

He looked pretty good as a FR and soph, but he is far better today going into his Jr. year. He had an awesome spring practice and they are excited for this year with him, Sheffield and Scurry (all juniors). Plus they have a real quality RB, Troy Henderson who scored 23 TD's last year.

He has not thrown a pass as the varsity starter, however we will know soon how good he is; our first game is against Oakland last years 6A state runner-up.

As for running, he showed some flashes of it in the spring, but he keeps his eyes downfield and only runs when all are covered, with his receiver core, that does not happen often.

Not surprising. Very few commits that happen 2 years early stick. He could still be a vol at the end of the day. If I were a recruit I would enjoy my official visits and make a decision before my senior football season.

I won't be surprised if he recommits later on, and even if he doesn't it opens up room for one of the other good WR from TN in 2019 like Knox. WR spots filling up fast in the class.

I guess since he's KNOWN as one to watch in the coming years, he's listening to others about bigger and better offers. We won't get every instate talent, but CBJ is able to bring in equally good players. We missed on Stevens, but we got Ignont from Bama. It's still early and the staff has a knack for finding well rounded recruits to bring on board.

He was an Azzani guy. When Z left it changed things. This does not mean we won't get him back but the anti Azzani camp never understood how well he related to the kids.
