Today's GOP Not The Party of Lincoln

From the link........
Most definitions agree that fascism is authoritarian and promotes nationalism at all costs

The bolded takes it completely off of the left and puts it squarely on the trumppublican party.
Just like some Bible thumpers you can’t pick and choose the parts you think make your point.
But since you brought it up who were the dipsticks making the “trumps killing our democracy “ videos?
Who is it that’s trying to divide based on race?
Who is it encouraging kids to put on brown….I mean black outfits and suppress anyone who disagrees with them?

the left has learned the methodology of the fascist and are running the playbook to the T.

lol.........Nationalism was the Bannon/Stone plan from day one. They knew that divisiveness was the key. Trump was perfect and ran his primary campaign that way. Enough people loved it to make him a cult hero. Thousands showing up at rallies.
Text book fascism.

Cool story. Now do Bernie

Divisiveness= Rich vs Poor
He vocally advocated for starting a revolution.
Thousands at his Rally’s
Even had one of his followers shoot a member of Congress.( poorly worded. He didn’t call for the shooting. But it did happen)

For the record I don’t think Bernie is the leader of a cult. But neither is Trump. Move on

You are overlooking the key component.......promotes nationalism at all costs

But as far as cultish, Bernie certainly beats out Joe but doesn't hold a candle to Trump.

You got me there. He just promotes Socialism at all cost. A belief system so terrible that it that takes resource rich countries like Venezuela and turns them into dumpster fires.

But I digress.

If having a backbone was a requirement for congress we might need 50 new senators and 435 new representatives. They all in some way contribute to pork, lobbying interests and their own financial gain.
We have several senators and representatives that have spent their entire career being spineless.
There have been multiple coverups in gov about their own behavior on both sides. Glad you haven’t changed your tune that only the Republican Party should be held accountable. The Democrats and democratic socialists that have been elected are just as guilty.

You can send an honest person to Washington, but the reality is that nearly all politicians affiliate with a political party in order to reach state and national offices and both parties are corrupt. When he/she gets there, cooperation with a political party is the only way to get anything done. Some members are more ethical than others, but it is no secret that politics is a slippery business. Always has been.

Because the left does the same thing but wants to take the revolution worldwide (internationalism). Fascism and socialism/communism are siblings separated at birth. The only difference is in the scope of their aims. Fascism is simply more patient and wants to get their local authoritarianism in order before exporting it. Communism says not to wait but get the virus out there NOW.
The goal is the same, only the path and timetable differ.
Mussolini, the Original fascist was originally a disillusioned communist who split off to form his own movement when the communists weren’t doing things in what he thought was the “right” way.

The number one goal of any elected official is to get reelected.
Buck the party that put you in your office and that does not happen.
Politicians have to stand on the platform of their party.
One and done for all offices is an answer.

I’m finding great humor and enjoyment in watching the Democrats pearl clutch and screech you can’t do that when Republicans start using long standing Dem tactics to finally fight back. 🤣

Not being afraid to pick up the poo and throw it back at where it came from is what made Trump so popular with Republicans and I’ll credit his early years as a Democrat for knowing their tactics so well.

If it's worshiping at the Trump alter, then him denouncing you should be enough for the rest of the party to turn their back on you. Trump has shat all over Mitch. Yet he's still party leader. Your math isn't adding up.
Sen. Graham says he won't support McConnell as Senate leader unless he has 'working relationship' with Trump

This news story appears to be relevant to your post from Sunday afternoon. I made it a point to select a link from a Republican-friendly source as well, in Fox News.

This is a high profile Republican, in Senator Lindsey Graham, firing a warning shot at Republican Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, to stop criticizing Donald Trump and fall in line with the rest of the Republican Party in "The Cult of Trump," or else Sen. Mitch McConnell could lose his leadership post in the Senate chamber.

Pure posturing by Honeybear Graham. McConnell ain't going nowhere.

"Many who have fallen for the lies and deceit of the republican party are simply disposable commodities and they accept this with a religious fervor that has paralyzed their intellect. They are so disempowered that they have come to the insidious conclusion that rejecting science and embracing ignorance is a way of becoming empowered. Ignorance is never empowering. They are embracing death in the delusion that they are martyrs when really, they are just pitiful fools." Chris Statler

Can you cite a Presidential General Election where Democrats attempted to overturn the outcome, AFTER the electoral college had convened to cast their votes? That was the point in December of 2000, when Al Gore conceded defeat. There is no precedent for some of the tactics that Republicans used in their effort to help Trump retain the presidency. They went too far with it.
