11:34am: A deal hasn't been reached, though Manny has consented to a Florida trade. Jon Heyman considers this a major hurdle cleared.
11:29am: Will Carroll has an update. The Pirates could back out Bay talks entirely if they don't get what they want. The Red Sox will continue shopping Manny regardless, with the Dodgers and a mystery team in the mix. The Dodgers might be willing to part with Matt Kemp.
Yeah, look at all the meaningful games Dunn has ever played in while in the bigs. He's been in one race his entire career and hit about .077 for the month of September. He's a professional loser. The only people who find him palatable are stat geeks and weirdos with strikeout fetishes.Yeah, there's no way I'd want a guy with a .900 career OPS on my roster for the stretch run. What are these idiots thinking?
Given that I hate the Yankees, I'd love to see Dumb striking out three times a night and playing routine flys into triples in the Bronx.hat must just have something against Dunn. But, his word is gospel around here, so I'm sure he's right.
Would love to see Dunn in some pinstripes though!

Check his career numbers with men on base and get back to me.

He's the modern day Rob Deer. If you want a guy hitting under .250 with men on base in the middle of your lineup, have at it. You'll get exactly what the Reds have for the entirety of Dunn's career. All right. Career numbers for Dunn:
Overall: .248 BA, .381 OBP, .523 SLG, .904 OPS
Runners on base: .243 BA, .407 OBP, .511 SLG, .918 OPS
Looks like the same guy to me.
The Reds haven't made the playoffs since 1995, have they? How is he supposed to play in any meaningful games when the whole team has sucked out loud for his entire career?
I wouldn't think it would take a stat geek to notice those 40 homers he gives you every year, but maybe so.
