If true, then why in the world would anyone support Trump? If it makes little to no difference who is president, why select a horrendously despicable human who most consider an embarrassment?

I dont consider him a horrendous despicable human being. He is just another ultra rich dude who became president. I thought he was the best choice of those available. Oh yeah and when you say most consider him an embarrassment you need to clarify by saying liberals. I could ask you the same thing like why did you support Obama?

A list like that could be made about any president. Like taking us to war over nothing. Selling uranium to Russia.

The media is now the enemy of the people. They used to be our watchdog protector and a very important cog in the system. Now, instead of working independently against all comers, they work as a group with a set agenda. There is no journalism involved, journalists who stick their head up get it chopped off. This is my industry and I can tell you for a fact there is no more freedom of the press. They are dictated to by their ownership and follow like sheep slanting, ignoring, running stories with no verification, spinning everything toward their agenda. If you can't see that you probably were not around when there actually was a free press. You have nothing to compare, sad.

His followers get what they want. Religious fundamentalists get "pro-life" judges. Plutocrats get their tax breaks, industrialists get environmental protections rolled back, and bigots get implicit and explicit approval for their hatred of dark skin, "weird" accents, and alternative lifestyles.

When someone from the field tells you something you should listen occasionally. How can a press/media that has no freedom help the people? How? Once the freedom was purchased, and now closely controlled by a handful of like thinking people, that disappeared. The free press services that still exist are too small to make a difference. Just because they mainly publish liberish that you agree with does not make them right. Fox news same story. Anyone who covers a story that is opposite the agenda gets fired. Thats the free press of 2019.
