But you also can’t have a US city crippled by a group of people whose sole intent is chaos and destruction. Add to that an unwillingness of local authorities to do their job and you have a recipe for federal intervention.

It’s a terrible solution, but I don’t know what else is left once local leaders have completely punted on policing criminal activity in the name of political correctness. It’s amazing that area citizens seem to be willing to accept it all.
