Correct...this conflict has nothing to do with democracy or humaitarian purposes..

All about resources and leveraging that influence/power....

Ditto for Ukraine. They were hoping to block access of Russia's gas pipelines through Ukraine and strangle their ability to sell to Europe.

I know the geography of Ukraine is hard to understand for Russia; but there are other paths to Europe that don't go through Ukraine.

The original pipelines to Europe did pass through Ukraine. But they have since built the Nordestream and they were in the process of negotiating with countries in SE Europe and Turkey to build the Southstream/Turkstream pipeline, but the US and NATO have been trying to block it. So don't get the impression that Russia is the one geographically challenged. They are well aware of other alternative routes. Unfortunately, the US/NATO have been blocking their progress.

Turkey's president has warned it could sever ties with Israel if the US recognises Jerusalem as its capital.
Tayyip Erdogan said such a move would cross a "red line" for Muslims.

Expect this to happen because Trump is a "habitual line stepper".

Good.

If you say so. I really don't know. Can you tell me what is good about it?

Uhm, we don't let a foreign power dictate our relations with a third nation. especially on something as dumb as what is the capital of Israel. seriously? I would issue a statement to the effect of: "We let sovereign nations determine their own capitals"

if Turkey doesn't like it, too bad.

Turkey turned away from us because Erogan turned Turkey into a dictatorship. Sorry, no dictatorships allowed in NATO.
