Anyone know anything new about the investigation? Last I seen was there was suppose to be renovating the Dean Center but they are waiting for the investigation to be complete. Not that is the only reason but one of them.

Sorry you are right. How about UNC is going to unveil a new football uniform that includes argyle? Just when I thought I couldn't make fun of them any more, they go and totally redeem themselves. Nothing says intimidation like argyle football uniforms.

The argyle wasn't as bad as I anticipated. It's understated, but still a little out of place on a football uniform IMO.

Massive institutionalized academic fraud, blow, hookers, and gang-related murders sanctioned by UNC, I can take.

Paying players, covering up their drug use and drug dealing, I can take.

But please do not sully the name of UNC with that treasonous bastard.

Meanwhile, the Dookies are lighting it up on the recruiting trail. Kryzioertupqoigski filling up on one-and-dones. But it's Cal who's ruining college basketball.

It's the way Cal openly does it is what ruins it. Also, how many Starting 5's or more has Coach K sent to the league after 1 year? It's cool...I'll wait.

If you look at Kyrie, Rivers, Parker, Okafor, etc. Duke does it pretty openly too. Just not as often maybe, but I agree that K and Cal aren't that different. Cal just plays the villain role and has been at schools that got punished for cheating.

I knew that would get a rise out of you. By the way you can put a check mark next to all of those things, other than the sanctioned gang killings.

Duke sent 3 this year.

Cal hasn't certainly sent a whole starting 5 as one and dones.

As someone who teaches at a major university with a major sports program (that has also taught numerous "major" athletes), I can say that you can put a check mark to just about all those things (minus gang murders, and even then not necessarily at some schools) concerning every major university's athletics programs.

And with all respect, you're flat dead wrong about K not emulating Cal's approach. The press was slobbering over K's knob the day after they won because he "adapted to the one and done system" like he was some sort of genius. Duh. Cal's been doing that for years.

It's a middle ground. K isn't emulating Cal, but he knows Cal is smart to draft the best possible players to help you win. K knew if he wanted to be successful, he had to keep getting the best talent, so he started doing the same.

Cal isn't a saint by any imagination, but he's not the Devil Incarnate either.

But how many times have you seen a player for Coach K falsify an SAT/ACT score? I'm just saying Cal is a snake, just like Pearl was/is. Cal will do whatever it takes to get ahead.

I don't think Coach K has necessarily adopted the "one and done" method. I think this year he just happened to have some guys declare after being on a high of winning an NCAA championship. Tyus Jones/Winslow are not NBA ready. Next year or a the year after will show wether he has or not. He's obviously proved he can win without it as have guys like Izzo.
