USU Scrimmage

USUs talent is not going to do anything to surprise these new players. We might be young in some spots but were night and day more talented than USU. thats really what matters. its not like its a road game for us. your guys wont be able to hear a damn thing on the field on opening weekend.

ive noticed this guy will never address the facts when thrown out there. he will continue to tell us about the last few years and how they beat up on Hawaii but when facts are brought up he will not even respond to them.

To which facts are you referring?

BTW, I've noticed how many UT fans will never address facts. They continue to tell us how great the SEC is and how overwhelming the crowd is at Neyland and how UT used to be really good. They won't even respond.

I know. I know. It doesn't matter cuz these new starters is better'n the old ones.

I don't know that anyone has really made that claim. The only thing that matters in this case is that they're better than what USU is putting on the field

our senior laden DL was not very productive anyway. its not like that unit will be any worse.however, you lost your whole O line as well. You also lost the whole secondary.a couple DL, 7 of your top 11 tacklers and your starting qb and rb are coming of torn up knees. youre not in much better shape. UTs skill players are extremely talented. dont believe then thats fine but you will see.

im not saying we are bad azz either. im just simply saying that UT got a serious talent influx and are clearly more talented than USU. Couple that with playing at home and being tired of losing and i dont think its the type of game you believe it will be.

The difference is I'm not the one saying my team is bad @$$.

Neither am I. Im saying theyre a lot better than your team.

Fact of the matter is we have superior athletes and a home field advantage that ur team hasn't came close to experiencing. Deal with it.

I agree to disagree.

Ill admit my curiosity was eeked enough to spend 30 seconds on their board and i found this nugget lol

Our personell does these things as well as anyone in the Country. Tennessee has a long way to go to get to the athletic level of our D right now (sorry SEC its true). To quote the major conference guys they just don't pass the eye test let alone the result test.

UT beat 2 teams FBS teams with a winning reord last year.

So let me get this straight....we're paying your team a butt load of money to come play us in the best stadium in the country...

And you have the b%lls to say you are goin beat us? HA

1. I don't think the fact that it is a road game with a payout will have much to do with the outcome.

2. "The best stadium in the country" is fairly subjective and does not determine the outcome. Certainly, Neyland and the UT crowd are a nice advantage.

3. I've never said we will win. I've said it will be a close and hard fought game.

That's funny considering Dan gray is a starter there and was never going to playt anything but Special teams at UT.
We have 4 All SEC level players on D in aj,maggitt,Randolph and sutton. They think their defense is awesome bc it did well against really terrible teams. Most of those defenders are gone too.

Be careful ag4fr. Someone much nastier than me might go to your USUFANS site. Notice that except for the earlier visits of the usual breed of snotty Vols fans no longer post there. And FEW Vols who do exhibit (I admit being shocked based on what I've seen in the past) a good deal of civility there. A nastier person might drag over these examples and explicitly show the fallacy of your statements. Then end calling you a liar without actually using that term. You once said you were leaving. Why don't you? What's the point of dragging on something that achieves no meaningful goal?

I drop by your site now and then because I enjoy the videos that pop up there. AND to my surprise, find myself interested in and amused by the USU disdain and jealousy of BYU. Quite frankly and dumb as it may seem, I find myself in USU's corner regarding issues with BYU. Guess what? I don't jump in and post anything. especially nothing that would be putting down USU there Nor have running arguments with anyone there. They wouldn't like it anymore than we like what you do here. Guess not all Mormons, excuse me, Latter Day Saints were raised with good manners.

... says the fan of the team with 2 legit FBS wins last year. WKU and USA are still making the transition from FCS to FBS. Don't get me started on Austin Peay.

Oh, I almost forgot... UT lost as many starters last year as Utah State AND any SEC team.

I know. I know. It doesn't matter cuz these new starters is better'n the old ones.

Honestly, you Vols fans are drowning in the Orange Kool-Aid. I really don't think I have ever seen a fanbase as far up a river named Da Nile.

Reality begins again with fall camp in August.

:cray:..."I broke my girl dinky" :lolabove:

Same guy lol

Our starting corner will probably be the UT transfer (Gray). However, this Defense is stacked beyond that. There are few programs in the Country that would not start at least 3 of our LB's and the 4th looks just as solid from the sound of things. Not worried about your back. Look at what we have done to top backs the last 3 years. Wisky's (Denver Broncos) Ball did get 140 yards on us but it took him 40 carries and we still shut down their pass game. Our D-Line rotates 3 deep and is full of Polys. They really clog things up for the backers. Aside from a mulligan against a pretty good UNLV back we never get run on.

I'm liking the fact that we have an inside man on our squad this time.

Gray has suited up for the guys in the gaudy orange.*

I think he can have a calming and powerful influence on our ability to believe that we can go there and win.

I'm not really sure how a 100 yard IPF helps a team win games more than an 80 yard IPF. Perhaps you could break this down for us.

I realize you just completed yours, but the 3D computer renderings do look really pretty with all of the murals, and what not. Again, I'm not too sure how they help you win games.

It is a tall task for us to go play one of the most storied programs in the country from the big bad SEC. Y'all do have many advantages over a program like ours and we realize UT has as much money as God.

However, if you think your team has big advantages over Utah State in the Training, S&C, Medical, Film Study, Indoor Practice, and Team Meeting facilities, you are not looking beyond your nose bridge.

Can you explain to me why this game will be different from BYU, or even, the BSU game last year?

UT beat 2 teams FBS teams with a winning reord last year.

You beat UNLV, Colorado St, and NIU.

Outside of USC, UT played 8 teams that would have been by far and away more talented than the other 11 teams on your schedule. According to Colley, UT had the 4th toughest schedule in the country. You had the 90th. According to Sagarin, UT had the 10th toughest schedule... you had 74th. According to Massey it was UT at 26 (which seems ridiculously high) and you at 69. Billingsley said you had the 68th most difficult schedule while UT had the 6th... Once again, swap schedules and UT wins 8+ games... you probably don't win 4.

I have repeatedly. You have avoided the facts I have posted back to you.

UT should win because UT has better players... by ALOT. Some of the other intangibles favor UT but if UT's staff does a "good" job then you lose no matter how hard your guys play or even if you coaches do an outstanding job.

More than likely, your brief time in the sun is over.

That's a pretty nice stadium there, reminds me alot of my old football stadium in high school.

I played years ago at the same 1A NC program that produced Heath Shuler. I have played in front of 7000 for a home game.

True. And funny that you keep evading the real issue and try to always come back to subjective things.

UT is more talented and it isn't close.

3. I've never said we will win. I've said it will be a close and hard fought game.

It isn't going to be all that close no matter how hard your guys fight unless UT and their coaches lay a big ol' rotten egg right in the middle of Shields-Watkins Field.

You are outgunned. Period. And you are outgunned in the worst possible matchups for you to keep the game close.

Oh one last thing for now... before you overestimate how important you are.

You are getting this much attention only because you showed up... not because you are viewed as particularly "meaningful" in the grand scheme of UT football. Win or lose, you are who you are... and UT is still one of the top 10 historic programs in CFB with some of the best facilities and strongest fanbases in the country. Your only real significance is that you are here and keep piping up.

So when a real rival shows up to talk the upcoming season and game... please don't get your feelings hurt when no one cares to talk to you.
