Nope. Boy - O just said teams not playing have no data points to change where they are at. The teams playing could move, like UGA jumping penn state, but not anything elseI think Georgia falls behind Tennessee with a loss against Texas. That's probably our only hope for a home game unless Penn State gets demolished and falls.
It's all about brand name. There was no way Bama wasn't making in the play off and there was no way OSU was dropping below us. Our only hope now is blowout losses In the championship game and they decide to drop one of those teams below us. Which may also be unlikely but it's our last shot. We defintley aren't moving ahead of OSU.
The committee wants Big 10 rematch with Oregon and OSU in the second round.
That doesn't make sense, ESPN is tied to the SEC financially. Also, if bama was in our situation, you think it would have been the same result? They could have easily put OSU in front of UGA as well. Please you know full well it is about the conference - the SEC dominated for years, and the media never liked that. So yes it is about protecting the BIG 10.
If PSU gets blown out by Oregon the committee could definitely justify falling below OSU due to head to head and results vs Oregon. They won’t drop Penn State below Tennessee. I do think there’s a legitimate chance that they drop PSU below Ohio State though. That would send TN to State College instead of Columbus.
Funny he should say that when the data point would be a change in the SOS. Some teams could pick up a win over the conference champion. i.e. Penn State wins = Ohio State win over conference champion. Georgia wins = Ole Miss (and Bama) has a win over a conference champion. Data points will always change when games are played, just not data points they care about obviously.Nope.
