Vaccine or not?

The Indian state of Kerala has 3% of India's population, and 67% of its inhabitants have at least one vaccination. One would expect Kerala's COVID cases to be so low as to be invisible in a chart of India's very low overall cases. Yet this state of just 33 million people accounted for 65% of all of India's cases on Thursday, and even more in recent weeks. It has essentially been the only state experiencing a surge in recent months. It also happens to be the Indian state that has rejected ivermectin.

Horowitz: Heavily vaccinated state accounts for 65% of India’s COVID cases after rejecting ivermectin

Neither ivermectin nor the vaccine are supposed to prevent COVID cases, are they?

Hope there is a med like ivermectin that is cheap and is found to help against covid. However there is no pharmacological basis for ivermectin to work against covid or at least treat humans as an antiviral.

Studies cited by ivermectin advocates about antiviral effect in-vitro or in the lab fail to mention that it requires concentrations significantly higher in the human body than what is possible for standard ivermectin dosing. Reports of mass administration of ivermectin in places like India, Mexico, and Peru fail to mention how many doses were administered at what time and to how many. None of those articles go into that detail. Further there are many confounding variables going on simultaneously not taken into account.

We now have several randomized controlled double blinded trials including the recent Together Trial that showed no benefit with ivermectin and what seems to be monthly retractions of pro-ivermectin studies around the world due to fraud.
Don’t like how the fda further polarized this issue but wish these advocates for ivermectin at least admit that evidence that the drug works is at best weak and observational.

Recently,

(Supposedly)There was a nurse in Australia that admitted the vaccinated are being given ivermectin. While the unvaccinated are being given a vent. Why? How do we know the same isn't being performed elsewhere to help inflate the numbers in favor of the vaccine.

Just speculation.

That would be diabolical if true.

The sad part is that I wouldn't be surprised if these sorts of shenanigans are happening. That's how little faith I have...

Hmm the more things change...

It’s funny how history repeats itself. You would think that we would learn from our mistakes. The fact that medical technologies, research have evolved, but people can’t comprehend it.

A 1924 comic that is 100% relevant today. Social media has simply weaponized idiocy.

This speaks to exactly what I was talking about. Pharmacists are being told not to fill out those prescriptions by the corporate office.

Find a different pharmacy.
Better yet, bring a class action suit against the pharmaceutical industry if you believe that it’s part of a conspiracy

Find a different pharmacy.
I already told you one guy checked every pharmacy from Jackson to Parsons looking for a pharmacist to fill the prescription. How much time and effort do you really think a person has to chase down pharmacists in these rural areas? How practical is it to be driving around hunting for pharmacists while you are sick like that anyways?

OK, while they are in ICU, I'm sure the class action suit will be of value more than the Ivermectin.

You are not being anywhere close to reasonable right now.

I’m confused….
I thought the argument was that the icu and hospitalization numbers were bull **** and that the vast majority of people recover easily so no need for a vaccine.
2nd. If you know there’s a problem why are you waiting till you’re in the ICU to address it?
3rd still waiting on a study that provers ivermectin actually works vs Covid.

Reasonable? You tagged me. I’ve moved on from the stupidity of ivermectin. It’s a placebo that I don’t care anything about.
I’m willing to change my opinion on it if someone can actually prove it works. As for now it’s just this month’s plaquenil. I can’t wait to see what the internet decides is the next Covid savior.

The suppression on antibody therapy is concerning to me. It actually works and there’s no google reason to suppress it.

Very telling that anti-vaxxing was still a political issue 7 yrs later as evidenced by those two comics
