Seems far more likely that people are potentially misattrubuting some perceived symptom to a vaccine than intentionally falsifying a report, although I'm sure both occur. I wouldn't assume "it's good to use" because the rate of fraud is probably low.

Facebook has removed a video from its platform that featured Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro linking COVID-19 vaccines to the onset of AIDS.

Bolsonaro on Thursday night posted a video in which he said reports from the United Kingdom (U.K.) floated the possibility that “vaccinated people are developing the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome,” according to The Washington Post.

As a side, do you think any physician worth their salt is making recommendations to his or her patients based on the covid vaccine VAERS reports, given the politically charged nature and open reporting it allows?

That’s not my choice. The healthcare professionals should have fairly mature thresholds for this no?

I’d hope they are looking at their patients history, their concerns, and drawing on their own professional experience. I think VAERS is more related to those judging the safety of the available vaccines without consideration to a specific patient?

That was levied as an argument towards me this weekend. My answer was I don’t believe any of those vaccines meet them criteria of using a revolutionary delivery method which has failed to be approved before and took a wide scale crisis to even be considered. The whole world is currently involved as lab rats RE PFizer and Moderna vaccines.

Sure it would work. And it actually addresses the issue at hand via direct measure which is are you sick and could you make anyone else sick. In fact it’s the only direct measure method being considered to address what they are using stupid ass EOs forced down people’s throats that don’t really provide any protection. His approach is much more applicable than a vax death cult approach.

I actually already stated earlier that on a percentage basis I think it’s pretty low too. I think questioning the reliability of the VAERS data base is a red herring.

Once again, we have a poster who is citing a mortality rate, but not factoring in the sheer volume of cases.

The most pertinent statistic to evaluate the impact that an infectious disease is having on American society is the ratio of disease-related hospitalizations requiring treatment in an intensive care unit to ICU capacity. The fact is, prior to the vaccines, ICU's in major cities around the country were being overwhelmed with COVID patients. This was putting health care providers under high stress. That is not "anecdotal fear porn." That is reality.

Do you have a threshold on the amount of BS you'll accept for believing wikipedia? Because the same formula - 99.9% should be the minimum standard for believing a unfiltered database used for medical reasons.

In their day, the delivery method was probably just as revolutionary.

There's nothing new about mRNA tech.
