His wife said she thought he was misdiagnosed which would mean he didn’t test positive. I guess she was just blubbering some bs. I’m sure no media outlet would embellish a story to push a certain narrative. Either way I don’t care just pointing out the article you initially posted was far from definitive.

They’re STILL telling us to get the vaccine to help prevent transmission, Alpha hasn’t been relevant in 6 months. I’m one of the anti-vaxxer whackos who beat the big bad Covid by sleeping it off like umpteen million others.

My bad. I misinterpreted the comment. I don’t agree with the talking heads discouraging the vaccine, either. I think the vaccine is a good thing and encourage people to take it. I think it’s effective at keeping you from getting deathly sick. But I also don’t think it’s my place to decide if it’s right for someone else.

People know the risk they are taking at this point. And that risk is higher for some than others. For a young and healthy individual Covid poses very little risk as far as hospitalization, etc.

You should be honest , do more research on how viruses , germs , bacteria are transmitted and stop just reading pro vax propaganda . You will never convince anyone by being dishonest in your approach.

1. It nearly killed both of my folks and they were anti vaxxer whackos. They're still whackos, but they're now vaccinated.
2. Non sequitur to the cherry picked Fauci science you intentionally trotted out without context earlier.

Also, I call BS - who is "they"? Who specifically is telling you that the vax prevents transmission? All I hear is that the vax will almost certainly prevent you from having severe illness and drastically reduce your chance for hospitalization.

Again, you want to distinguish time frames e.g. Alpha not being relevant in 6 months but you're still glomming on to expert consensus from a year ago that has evolved into new recommendations today.

Said so succinctly and calmly, what so many, myself included, have tried to say and failed at our delivery. My FIL and MIL have been fully vaxed and given that they’ve had a recent heart attack and recent chemotherapy grace their walls, I agree with, support and would have encouraged their decision. My mother who is not as fit as she should be, has high BP and has a family history of diabetes is also vaxed and rightfully so. My siblings and I have confirmed to her without trying to insult her health or appearance that she made the right choice for her. However, that doesn’t mean it’s right or necessary for EVERYONE and those who chose not to, live with their own decisions. Liberals used to be the party of freedom and self choice in all aspects of life and that has been completely flipped upside down because classic liberalism has been hijacked by a scary, minority faction.
