Also, I call BS - who is "they"? Who specifically is telling you that the vax prevents transmission? All I hear is that the vax will almost certainly prevent you from having severe illness and drastically reduce your chance for hospitalization.

Again, you want to distinguish time frames e.g. Alpha not being relevant in 6 months but you're still glomming on to expert consensus from a year ago that has evolved into new recommendations today.

Regarding your parents, are they active 35 year olds or a child under 18? If not, then their specific encounter with Covid has no statistical bearing on my household and the outcomes we could expect from Covid (or the overwhelming majority of 35 yr olds and kids for that matter). Also, did they hunker down and hide for the time before their infection or did they take their chances by living? If it’s the latter, then they obviously accepted any and all risk that came their way and it’s not my duty to “protect” them had we met in public. I

Maybe you could quit posting the other shat that is causing non vaxed people to think you are an ass. I am vaxed. You are hurting the cause of increasing vaccination bc of the shat you post. People are entrenched. And you are not helpful bc you are a judge mental prick.
