Vaccine or not?

My generation lived through the smallpox and polio vaccination campaigns. So the Covvie-19 held no fear for me, wife and I are fully tri-vaccinated.. So are bunches of our friends. Negative reactions? First shot, my arm was sore for three days. Wife's arm for a week, plus hit with something like the 24hr flu. Friends? One had a reaction like my wife, all the others sore arms. The next two shots? Beyond the needle prick, nothing. Same with friends. Will I take the rumored 4th booster? Probably not, as I don't think I need it. I think the anti-vax folks are making a ballyhoo out of nothing, and a fair number of them are dead, and some still dying cause they followed pied piper Trump, who himself hypocritically got vaccinated, BTW. That's great, a coworker of mine was hospitalized with blood clots and heart issues two days after his second shot. He is still struggling and hasn't found another job after the company he worked with fired him.

A teenage son of one of our friends got his booster and two weeks later happened to get a blood clot in his kidney. I'm sure it was coincidental.

My boss had to miss a week of work after her booster.

And one of our comms people missed two weeks with severe side effects (including irregular heartbeat) after her third shot, then promptly caught COVID and had issues with it a month later.

Not all of us are geriatric patients whose health issues mask any other negative reactions. We're also not all fools that blindly follow the people who have now admitted lying about COVID death and case data and vaccine reactions among young people.

In every vaccination campaign, there are exceptions to the rule. While the majority are fine, you will always get some who, for a variety of reasons, don't respond positively to the vaccine. When I was growing up, I never heard of anyone who was allergic to and dead from eating peanuts, but now we do. In my time, millions got the mumps and chicken pox. For the bulk of kids, it rated about what the common cold was. BUT, a handful of kids died, for whatever reason. Among a numerous population, there are some folks whose bodies due to DNA variance, a missing or extra chromosome strand, preexisting condition, or some hereditary factor, will react differently than the majority of that population. It can work the other way too. Among a number of the AIDS ravaged population of Jonesburg, first certain women, then children exposed to AIDs failed to manifest its symptoms or die from it. Same thing with the Black Plague (bubonic plague) of 1331-1353 in Europe, there were some who either exhibited outright immunity to that deadly infection, and some who got it, were knocked down by it, then fully recovered. There are always exceptions to the rule. Just don't ingest bleach or chloroquine phosphate as the blonde blockhead suggested, though a few people actually did.

'vaccinated' people are dead too Chief.

There are so many "exceptions" to the rule on these "vaccines" that if you're not questioning whether the exceptions are actually the rule you're an idiot.

The CDC covered up data on adverse reactions for people below the age of 60 to prevent "misinterpretation". They admitted this.

We were told that getting the vaccine would prevent us from getting COVID. That was a lie. We were told it would prevent hospitalization. That was a lie. We are now told it will prevent death. That is a lie. We were told it was more effective than natural immunity. That was a lie.

The data shows the vaccine does next to nothing. You're more than allowed to come in here and pretend anyone complaining about the risks and side effects of the vaccine are foolish. Perhaps you ought to take off your own clown mask first, though.

You do know like half of inner cities are unvaccinated. You think they're Trumpers? This is the problem with all of this, making it political. As far as side effects, I know just as many who have had problems from the shot, as I have those from the virus. I lost two friends, one vaccinated, one not. None of my family have taken it, and we've all been fine. My wife caught it, but caught it in the hospital during the lockdown when we couldn't see her. It's not all about politics, despite how much some of you want it to be. And ftr, I wasn't a trumper, had nothing to do with me not taking it, not are we anti vaccine, just not comfortable with this one.

And there it is. The famed detour from the paved road to the dirt road leading into the wilderness.

You literally post like someone that's never left the wilderness, so I'm not sure what you're on about. Care to actually refute anything, or are you going to pretend you're smarter, wiser, and better than everyone because you're old as dirt and got a needle in the arm?

I like freshwater fish better than ocean fish except swordfish because it's almost steak-like. But bass and trout are my all-time favorites.

No one cares about your backward ways and ignorant attempts to be folksy. Literally no one here thinks you are funny and you sound like a geriatric old hick who’s never done anything in life

Posts are good. They usually have signs on them directing people how to get somewhere. Refute something? Why? I said what I had to say, you said what you had to say. We just happen to hold views not in sync. So why drag it on? That's what the wilderness taught me.

You don’t really want to compare anecdotal notes on this one, trust me.

That's the great thing about anecdotes. They change from person to person and none of it is necessarily contradictory.

If the first persons anecdotes are accepted the second person's should be accepted.

So what he said is not valid? You believe the CDC has been truthful all along?

Oh, and I couldn't care less who gets the 'vaccine' or who doesn't. Why do you?

You care because otherwise you wouldn't have challenged me and putting up the snide response you just gave.

My microcosm in ICU is different from anesthesia and say a doctors office. All medical but with vast differences. Many variables included in what type of ICU you are in also. Perspectives alter given the focus of the area.

Agreed, and it is 100% why the government should have stayed out of the requirements and pushes on vaccines, or against it either. It should have 100% been left to the person and their doctor.

Since the shot first rolled out part of the agenda has been you are killing grandma by not getting the shot, you are responsible for my health and so on. A person who holds a greater degree of personal belief that they are responsible for society’s health does not jive with my beliefs. I think space and I are on the same page with the belief that if an individual doesn’t want to catch covid then follow the cdc guidance and get the shots. Stay at home, wear 2 masks, don’t be around people, do what you need to do but I’m not responsible for your health because I won’t allow someone to force a shot on me that was highly questionable. @SpaceCoastVol will correct me if I’m wrong on this.

I totally agree. It should have always been about personal choice. The level of garbage rhetoric was off the meter with covid. Quite frankly after 2+ years of hearing it my care o meter for bs is busted.

There you go, detouring onto a dirt road away from the highway. Typical tactic of rightests who just like to twist statements into things they never were. Pardon me for uh, putting, erm, "space" between us on your trying to make it sound like I wanted to force-feed your attitude about the Covvie. And on that note I abandon you to the void of "space" to continue shouting in a vacuum. Engaging warp drive - waa-wooosh!
