would you take Teague over DaRick or Hunter?
Hunter prolly was a UT lean, but what does that matter at all? Dooley got his signature and convinced him to decommit from LSU.
Clark is a 4star. That would be the highest player La Tech has ever signed.
And Dooley did that in 2 weeks while Kiffin had 2 months.
Hunter was decommitted prior to Dooley being hired wasn't he? How did Dooley convince him to decommit? He was down to UT and UVA, I know, the day UT announced Dooley as head coach.
Actually Lennon Creer/Ahmad Paige were the highest rated players LA Tech every signed. No difference between a JC player and a transfer is there?
Dooley's been here 5 months now. Kiffin did more in 2 than Dooley has in 5. Look at every commit Kiffin got from Day 1 through his 5th month.
Come on LV, you know I'm right. I think it pains you to admit it.
No. Hunter decommitted after Dooley's in-home with him.
Lennon Creer and Ahmad Paige never signed anything at La Tech.
Dooley did more in 2 weeks than Kiffin did in 2 months.
blind to see. The reason dooley kept those big name players from last year is basically they had no choice since they were early enrollees. Dooley is recruiting guys that are average to a little above average and would be great gets for La Tech but just will not bring us back to prominience in the SEC. Yes it is early and the koolaide drinkers will point to that and the fact that it's our third coach in 3 years but I don't recall the last staff making that excuse or even trying to. Fact is that the jury is really out on this staff and anyone trying to argue the opposite is really reaching. Dooley could have helped himself had he had the ability to keep Brown and Douglas but evidently couldn't bring himself to re-recruit so the onus is on him. Unless we begin to get difference making recruits rather than solid citizens in my opinion the foundation is not being built. That means we are counting on this coaching staff coaching up every recruit we get and that ain't going to happen.
3. No he didn't. Oku, Brown, Jackson, Myles Jr., Teague, Nuke, Eric Gordon, Greg King, etc.... I haven't seen anything close to that with this staff yet. That was just what he signed within 2 months. That's not even counting what Kiffin did for the 2010 class. Thompkins, Chaz Green, and Brandon Willis would've gone a long way...
He did not get Bryce Brown and David Oku by NSD. Technically, he didn't get Janzen by NSD either.
John Brown was never seriously going to change schools. Of course he thought about it. We lost just about our entire coaching staff, who wouldn't. Re-recruiting players is just mending bridges. Yes, it exists. But it's more about getting them to trust you than getting them to like your school. They've committed to the school already for a reason.
As for 5.5 or 5.7 3*.... that's just something for people like you to follow.
I just choose a 3-level rating system: low level, mid level, high level prospect.
As much as people say you can't believe in star ratings, I disagree with them. However, I do not agree that you can accurately rate someone down to a tenth of a point. So no, I do not believe in a "level" of someone's star rating.
I didn't make that system up.
It's no different than basketball's system. Ever heard of a mid-major prospect?
It's far easier to place a guy in 1 of 3 categories than to try to judge their abilities on a point scale. I'm not sure where this is confusing for you, but let me know how those decimal points work out.
You have lost every single argument you've ever been in regardless of who it was with. Sad really.
Seriously man, just keep talking like you know something when you reallly, really, really dont.
Rivals uses a decimel point system...Rivals is a respected and widely recognized recruiting service....I'm not sure how it's confusing to you that I use a legit system recognized by thousands while you use a system apparently only recognized by 1...
I'll clue you in on something...when you say "I just chose to use a 3-level rating system" that implies you are willfully ignoring a recognized system and going with one of your own (i.e. making it up)?
Word to the wise....a made up system that allows you to skew an argument in your favor is not a legit tool for winning an argument...it just makes you look ridiculous....kind of like when you make a bet and don't live up to it until every poster that knows about it rides you relentlessly
