Bama is a Bryce Young injury away from being on par with Texas A&M. We could absolutely beat them. TCU has nearly lost to multiple teams worse than UT. USC lost to freaking Utah.

LSU beat Alabama beat them as well, and where are they ranked now? And why?
You can't lose late in the season when you have 4 undefeated teams left on the table with only 2 playing each other.

The road was there. We messed it up!!

This.. we got blown out by SCjr and were not competitive with UGA, not that hard to understand why Bama is ranked ahead. Unfortunately we did it to ourselves..

All of this happened because we have up 63 to south Carolina. If it was 38-35 it would be different but 63 is too much to overcome

Margin of defeat is not mentioned as a consideration per the committees own selection criteria.

If you want a debate that’s fine; however no need to make the argument something it isn’t…….when did I say “Tennessee should move down because of a player’s absence”?
Tennessee moved down because they lost by 4 scores to SC.

Maybe you should be mad at the committee for putting Bama ahead of Tennessee the previous week.

Or really for having Bama as high as they did weeks ago with 2 losses and no great wins.

But it's are last games so you put head to head and teams we played the same together and you can't put Bama infront of Tennessee. This is what this committee was supposed to fix and they didn't even talk about it because they know there is no explanation. USC GOT HOT AT THE RIGHT TIME IT HAPPENS AND TENNESSEE DIDN'T SHOW UP. But all the comparable stuff we are ahead of Bama. Buck Fama.

No where in my argument is any of that.

It’s really simple.

Bama was ahead of Tennessee

I…….ME…….did not put them there……..the committee did.

Now because Tennessee is behind Bama how can they jump Bama by playing Vandy? They need Bama to lose or maybe almost lose.

Tennessee had 1 week to make of for that loss and their opponent was Vandy.

Thats not going to do it.

Tennessee needed at least 2 weeks and at least one quality opponent.

And this has NOTHING at all to do with me or what I think. It’s because Bama was ahead of Tennessee.

That’s a pretty silly way to judge teams. Losses shouldn’t count more or less because of the time of their occurrences.

I’m going to be a realist for a second and focus on what’s in front of us instead of what some committee pulled out of its collective posterior.

If we’re not in the playoffs, and we’re not, then I would rather Bama is a spot ahead of us. That absolutely works for me. Let them go play K State in the Sugar. I want Clemson and the Orange Bowl. Beating Dabo and planting a flag in those Dutch Fork and Gaffney and Rock Creek SC recruiting grounds absolutely works for me. There’s more upside in that for us than there is us playing some Big 12 team while the Orange gets Saban and Swinney playing each other for the umpteenth time. I don’t think it helps us recruit SC nearly as much if it’s just another Alabama-Clemson game.

Full disclosure though UNC’s passing game gives me the heebie-jeebies so I’ll wait til the ACC title is decided to really go all in on the Orange 😂

Nowhere on here does it mention star players going down with an injury. The fact they even mention it being a factor is ridiculous. We are once again the Rodney Dangerfield of College Football.

You can argue all you want that we've sucked for years, we got blown out by South Carolina, we didn't show up at Georgia, blah blah blah.

The point is, Bama has no business being talked about having the possibility of a playoff spot still, let alone being ranked ahead of us.

Bama is not getting in. It's the Top 4 and Ohio State fighting for the 4 spots. No one else has a chance, no matter what happens.

The problem was they had Bama 8th the week Tennessee lost. Tennessee was 5th they were definitely going to drop 3 spots or more because of that loss.

Bama was just too high without are real reasoning. Bama didn’t have anything on their resume other than a strong SOS however the best 2 teams they payed…..they lost.

Again, what if LSU beats UGA. We would have killed the SEC champion on their home turf. I think that would justify us being ahead of bammer. Put us in the Sugar bowl??? Thoughts???
