Like I said, "winning" is a very subjective word here. Winning to me would be getting them (Ukraine) to comply or destruction of the country. Russia has no real ability to occupy and control large land spaces in hostile territory.

As I mentioned, I think Putin has been pretty nice, Kiev is still standing and much of the infrastructure of the country is intact.

The eastern 1/10th of the country may be getting close. But not the rest of it. In fact @DonjoVol was making the argument last week Russia was going slow to avoid damage as much as possible.

just struck me as curious talking about the "russian race" since rejecting ideas like that were a huge reason the soviets were able to spread their ideas like wildfire in post colonial countries and we really had no honest counter to why all the people in the ruling class were paler than everyone else.

Makes sense if they’re going to get people on board with their class warfare which is all the soviets were about. They didn’t care about race they just wanted to take all of the available bodies and pit them against each other. Now I can see people on the back end like our resident intellectual stooge trying to rewrite that initial stance and redefine them all as some homogenous grouping… which is simply dumb.

The Ukraine was actively trying to join Nato, I'm not sure where that is coming from. They were also being supplied western equipment. But even if you were correct, if the military expanded further than Russia couldn't invade in the future to stop the Nato membership.

You guys say their military sucks, well, that is why they are there.... if they waited longer who knows. LOL

You have me lumped in with some others wrongly. I have already pointed out to you I think Russia is winning/will win.

We only started arming Ukraine after Russia seized Crimea and Donbas, 2015ish. You should probably look into what lead up to those events and comments from the players before the Maiden.

And isnt the russian argument to de-arm the west by having them endlessly supply Ukraine with arms? How would a larger Ukraine military be bad for Russia? They have plenty of crap, apparently, and nukes.
