It was certainly his business. A coup or unrest in a neighboring country was certainly of his concern. That is no different than the US intervening in several of these countries' affairs in this hemisphere over the last 100+ years. No different than Vietnam intervening with the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. No different than countries surrounding Rwanda intervening during that crisis 25 years ago.

And on top of that, the shelling and attacking of the Russian people in Donbas is no different than what the US would have done to protect American people that would be attacked in Mexico.

American citizens or people who chose to leave America? Because we clearly arent rushing over to Ukraine to save all the Americans who went to fight over there.

Putin is the president of the country of Russia. Russia that includes many non Russian ethnicities. He is Not president of ethnic Russians. Unless you want to claim Russian elections poll ethnic Russians everywhere.

Plus I think Ras shared the map of the election results. So you think he should have honored the wishes of one set of constituents but not the other? Or should he have taken a moderate stance and try to please all of his constituents the best he could.
