War in Ukraine

Most of us arent, except for him staying put in the opening days and continuing the fight against a stronger foe. But dont tell Ras, or Volgr that.

Whether or not he was put there fighting with a Kalashnikov in his hand or not, him staying in Ukraine was a move most people didnt expect.

Yep. I am no fan of Mr Z. I am even less of a fan of Pootin. Both countries are corrupt, no doubt. However, Pootin always invading and threatening his neighbors is a very bad thing. Eventually he could turn his guns on the wrong one and then we are directly involved in a European war...again. My hope is that the Ukrainians bloody the Russians nose enough so that they won't try this again for a very long time. The last thing you want is a Russian victory, which would embolden them further.

Based on his complete lack of prior public service and then being forced into a pretty damn untenable situation in Feb this year the guy has performed amazingly well. Much better than pretty much anybody expected and way more of an actual leader as compared to his idiot counterpart Putin.

We're isolated and won't get a real true picture of how well Zelensky has done his job; but from what I've seen, I don't think any of our current crop of great leaders in DC would have done as well ... but most of them would have created and awarded themselves medals "for coming under fire". As far as corruption goes, my guess is our guys are just slicker and more polished. We could teach the rest of the world a thing or two about how to covertly pack graft into funding legislation and turn their politicians green with envy.

They are all awarding themselves and their cronies BILLIONS of dollars of our money.

Army Plans 'Dramatic' Hike In Ammo Production | ZeroHedge

Do the math... 924k in 10 months... about 5.5 years of present annual production.

According to a Pentagon fact sheet released at the end of November, the US has sent Ukraine 924,000 155mm artillery rounds to Ukraine since February 24. The US currently makes 14,000 155mm rounds each month, but the Army is set to ramp that up.

"Funding is already in place, contracts are underway to basically triple 155mm production," Doug Bush, the assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, told Defense News. "There’s funding on the Hill, in the supplemental, to more than double that again. That would take a period of years."

And it'll take your boys decades to build their supplies back up, especially since they're gonna be paying reparations to Ukraine for the next 50 years.

They will rebuild Novorossiya, but they won't be paying a damn dime to the Western powers or the so-called current Kyiv regime.

Paybacks are hell. Shouldn't start things you can't finish. This is probably just the start.

Russian Airfield In Kursk Set Ablaze By Apparent Ukrainian Drone Strike
Hey genius, all this will do is escalate things even more. And we already see that the only tool that the Weste has in their toolbox is sanctions at this point. Look at the amount of escalation after the Kerch bridge bombing and the destruction of NS 1 & 2. have you been paying attention? Ukraine has no answers. Russia kept their hands in their pockets for 8 months until then.

Ukraine seems to be answering quite well. As far as “escalation” goes, maybe Russia shouldn’t have invaded.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Keeping their hands in their pockets? Invading a foreign country, bombing civilian targets. At this point you're a caricature, a punchline.

And Ukraine had plenty of answers. They have bogged down what supposed to have been one of the worlds top military fighting forces into a quagmire. They've had to conscript troops and empty prisons to supplement their dead. Inflation is triple that in the US and it's becoming an ever increasingly unpopular endeavor in Russia. In fact the only thing keeping the hardliners in support is fear of what happens if they lose.

This is pretty much the worst case scenario of possible outcomes for Russia when they weighed the risks going in.

War is hell, for Ukraine and for Russians. Ukraine is defending their home. Russia is attempting to gain back influence over it's former satellites. They've just galvanized the rest against them save Belarus, but give them another generation, likely not even 5-10 years and they'll oppose Russia too.

You need to face facts just as Russia does....... They've already lost.
