War in Ukraine

So crossing a bridge in the middle of the city, but there's nothing but trees and a field on the other side?

Seems legit.
The whiney little snot might be right. Here's a screenshot of those coordinates from Google Earth from when the original bridge was still there.
The coordinates are in the upper left corner.

Unless they bombed out the riverwall down to the last stone, and collapsed the river bank itself, that's not the same location.

Well, if Ukraine’s hot chicks weren’t enough for Ukraine, then all is lost.

Have you ever figured out why there don't seem to be older hot chicks in places like Russia and Ukraine? The transition between the hot chicks and something past middle age must be rough.

I have not. Maybe all the hot ones got snatched up in a mail order bride catalog? Just spitballin' here.
The hot ones that couldn’t land a St Petersburg or Muscovite elite got the hell out. Don’t even need to qualify it with “smart ones” it’s common sense to want to leave the trailer park where ever it’s at

Which is why I have no problem with our support here. These guys are fighting for every inch of their territory. Wish we had similar determination from our previous investments in South Vietnam, Afghanistan, or Iraq.
Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq were not our business either. And the results will be the same, if not worse.

But since you asked:

We've trained over 4,000 and other European partners have been involved too.

Let me ask... what has Ukraine achieved in retrospect? Now that we see they are encircled or retreating or whatever... what have they accomplished up to now that warranted them losing lives up to now instead of retreating sooner or making a deal sooner?

After a year + of the 3 day special military operation they’re still a country with no risk of losing that sovereignty anytime soon. How’s the bald dwarf’s $25B budget deficit from January alone working out going forward? 🤡

What has Russia accomplished?

Defended their capital, launched successful counteroffensives in Kherson and Kharkiv, and bogging the Russians down in the meat grinder that is Donbas to buy time for spring counter offensives. They are also proving that the Russians are not 10 feet tall like we thought they were.

Ukraine is a nation of 44 million people. They will not be hurting for manpower for awhile.
That’s another idiotic argument of his. Russia is only 143M so while they outnumber population wise a little over 3:1 Ukraine clearly has the edge on people actually willing to fight in this war. In a war of attrition on people Russia loses this straight up. And in the past beating opponents fist with their face until the fist broke has been their only reliable tactic.

Russia has no resupply and a population unwilling to fight.

Ukraine has western resupply and a people committed to the fight.

In today's aid package Ukraine is receiving 8 bridge layers and other allies have been donating such equipment to. Doesn't necessarily mean anything but I'm betting the Ukrainian spring offensive will be in the south towards Melitopol.

Need to get those HIMARS launchers in range of the Kerch Bridge!

Everyone is expecting a southern attack to isolate Crimea but who knows. Ukraine mindfricked the Russians earlier when it was Kherson, Kherson, Kherson and than blitzed Kharkiv. Maybe they have another surprise somewhere else.

So basically nothing at all.
