War in Ukraine

Maybe offered Russia billions in aid not to invade? It's not a great plan but this war is costing us billions anyway and maybe more Americans other than just high ranking politicians, bureaucrats and the MIC could have profited off the aid.
I'm not checking in on this thread regularly, but are you suggesting we pay Russia to not be shitheads?

So, you are a "hard no" on giving billions in military aid to Ukraine to defend themselves, because we might give more money to arms manufacturers to replace weapons, but you would have been fine with giving Putin billions in ransom money, in the hopes that it would have kept him from invading Ukraine?

I'm wondering how @hog88 thinks paying the Russians would allow Americans other than high ranking politicians to profit

I clearly said it’s not a great plan. Have trouble reading?

The plan we’re on now hasn’t driven the Russians out or caused the internal upheaval in Russia that was expected. The lines haven’t moved much in 5-6 months so where’s the progress? When is this “spring offensive” going to kick off, it is spring in Ukraine?

But really, what’s our limit? What does a win look like and how much are we supposed to spend for it. What I think will end up happening is this will continue another year give or take and they will settle. In the end Russia will get the territory they wanted and we’ll be out billions of dollars.
Finland joining NATO.

Hey louder, I can’t help if your GF has low standards. If she don’t want your invasion hopefully her neighbors will help.
yeah, and if had continued your typical point of just cutting off Ukraine, there wouldn't have been a point to make. but giving money to Russia makes less sense than giving Ukraine money, hence the comments.

How much did our election interference in Ukraine factor into Russia’s actions?
what election interference? this mess started after Russia bought off the pro-western president. But I don't even think Ras is willing to try and blame the US for Yanukoyvch winning. although I guess he could, it just gets complicated with him running to Russia and not the US.

Solve.

You implied that the proxy war was some sort of conspiracy ginned up by the media to distract from America's hardships.

Look. I don't think Putin is particularly bright, but I don't think he's clairvoyant enough to know starting a war with Ukraine would take focus away from our border problems. I'm simply asking for your rationale in making that implication. Assuming he's clairvoyant, why would he do that?
No way he would start a war to assist the democrats by taking the spotlight of all the problems going on in the US. After all, he's in bed with Trump.

So much for our Patriot air defense system. I see a few hundred million $$ went up in smoke in Kiev lastnight.

Kyiv says it shoots down volley of Russian hypersonic missiles

Ukraine said on Tuesday it had shot down six Russian hypersonic Kinzhal missiles in a single night, thwarting a superweapon Moscow had previously touted as all but unstoppable.

Russia's defence ministry said it had destroyed a U.S.-built Patriot surface-to-air missile defence system with a Kinzhal missile, the Zvezda military news outlet reported.

But the commander-in-chief of Ukraine's armed forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said all had been successfully intercepted.

I think he knows, but he thinks he's being funny. The issue is that he lacks the self-awareness to recognize that no one is laughing with him and that he looks like an absolute idiot.

Since the bald dwarf’s military is completely impotent he’s turning to the only resource he has that has any effect on his useful idiots. His propaganda machine.

18 for 18.

Yeah, it probably wasn't cheap but looks like the patriots' shot down millions in Russian missles.
It's almost as if they're disappointed the missile attack against the civilian populace wasn't effective. Too bad Russia wasn't allowed to kill hundreds of civilians...... Better luck next time!
