appeal to authority.
lacking an argument yourself you are trying to appeal to an outside authority to dismiss something you don't have an argument for yourself.
how are we not nation building in Ukraine? nation building doesn't require us to occupy the land.
Does that mean you have changed your stance and Russia is currently losing the war against Ukraine?
I would argue that Ukraine very much does need US military aid to maintain its government. there is a reason Zelensky is constantly begging us for more, and its not because his military will function with out it.Lol, where did I make an 'appeal to authority'?
You're (willfully) ignoring the vast difference between providing Ukraine with military aid so they can defend themselves from an invasion, and trying to build a government in Afghanistan after we invaded, toppled the Taliban, and setup our military in their country for 20 years while we ferreted out Bin Laden and the other Al-Queda in the region; pretty disingenuous of you to say the least.
Ukraine already has a national identity.
Ukraine already has a functioning government.
Ukraine already has a functioning military.
Afghanistan had none of these, and couldn't maintain any of it on their own, without a US military presence; Ukraine does not need a US military presence to maintain it's government.

that ukrainian functional government is ripe with corruption and we have taken an active role in helping them dig it out.
just like we armed the afghan government to fight a third party, and without our aid they collapsed. we are now arming Ukraines government to fight a third party, and without our aid they would collapse.
as I said, we don't have to occupy a place to partake in nation building.
I’m not mad, just trying to understand logic. Russia, 2.5 years in, have less territory than what they started with. No matter the kill to death ratio, no matter any loss of equipment, they are losing since the Ukrainians are still there. If that is true, tell the Comedian to give me my money back. Its very hard to take the clowns seriously. A meme, a post, tiktok, facebook, etc. isn't going to change anything.
The U.S. lost, that isn't my doing. Getting mad at me isn't going to change anything.
They know no shame.

So if those standards are applied to the U.S., then Russia is losing this war, and will lose in the end because they will never meet their end goal objective. Just like the U.S. was never going to change Afghanistan. Russia should quit now, save themselves some dignity.
No matter the kill to death ratio, no matter any loss of equipment, they are losing since the Ukrainians are still there.
Wanna see this on that kerch bridge.
LMFAOYes you are mad, so you are lying to me. Two, Russia doesn't have less territory than what they started with. But even if you were right, than I would expect our money to be sent back.
So? I have don't know, I suspect this will not work out great for the Ukraine. Germany is still there the U.S. and the allies apparently didn't win. You're using that word, "logic" but your posts seems absent of it.
Well, I going to go have a beer or two.... you guys continue on and discuss how the U.S. won by running away.
I'm sorry but you sound like a ****ing nut.
@volfanhill @MontyPython remember the first rule of fight club.
All I know is the motherland has some territory that is a little less than secure at the moment, maybe it started that way .Yes you are mad, so you are lying to me. "Based on reports primarily from Russian sources due to Ukrainians maintaining operational security, Ukraine launched a “drone blitzkrieg.” Ukraine massed electronic jammers that grounded most of Russia’s outdated drone resources defending the frontline trenches. Ukraine’s new air-to-air FPV drones intercepted Russia’s eyes in the sky, the Orlan and other reconnaissance drones Russia has grown utterly reliant upon.
Blinded, and unable to employ drones, a key part of their defensive triad, Ukrainian forces surged forward through gaps in the Russian defenses and began pouring into Kursk Oblast.
Ukraine relied on the same tactics as it did in the 2022 Kharkiv Counteroffensive, relying on speed to overcome weak Russian defenses that were undermanned. Each time Ukrainian forces would run into a Russian defensive strongpoint, rather than waste time clearing each strongpoint, Ukraine would leave a small holding force to pin them down, while the rest of the forces surged into the rearward areas.
Without drone swarms to strike Ukrainian engineering units, Ukraine quickly cleared its way through Russian defenses and began making dramatic advances into Russian territory."
...
Whatever the case may be, what I think is one of the most fascinating aspects of this campaign is how it was made possible by Ukrainian deception… and cold blooded and brilliant ruthlessness on the part of CIC Syrskyi.
From April and through the summer, there were numerous comments from anonymous Ukrainian high military officials and US officials slipping information to media outlets commenting about how close Ukraine’s army was to collapse.
Numerous articles emphasized how Ukraine was just hanging on, waiting for the arrival of additional US aid and the fall, when the influx of conscripts finishing their training from the new Ukrainian Conscription law was expected to arrive.
Numerous comments were leaked from the front lines, complaining of a lack of artillery shells and equipment, despite the US passing the $61B Ukraine aid bill in April.
Every indication seemed to suggest Ukraine barely hanging on, hoping just to get by till the fall and winter when it might have a fighting chance.
Apparently, this was a ruse, and a ruthless ruse by General Syrskyi.
@Rasputin_Vol would be sooooo angry that URK/US deceived Russia... too bad Ras is gone.
Guessing his check from Putin bounced.
