War in Ukraine

Yup. I get that. To my knowledge they blocked Estonia. Sounds like weaponry and supplies from other countries are coming through. I’m just becoming more and more disappointed in Germany and how quickly they bend the knee.
How stupid do you need to be to shutter your own sources of energy and decide that the Russians are a reliable source? Every country that has the technology to build nuclear power plants is dumb AF for not building them right and left.

This is what Russia does (see Georgia), creeping annexation. They issue Russian passports to these separatist areas and then have a built in reason to intervene in the future if they so desire. Also seeing more signs that Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia) are starting to move which is not a good sign.
That scheme wouldn't work if the people living there don't accept them.

Why would Germany block arms sales to Ukraine from another country? Ukraine isn’t asking Germany to fight for them, just to allow them to defend themselves. How the hell is that Germany’s call? Then Germany sends 5,000 helmets? A little obtuse.
From what I understand, the weapons were either made by Germany or originally belonged to Germany. The only thing I can think of is that they don't want to have any evidence of Germany having any involvement in arming Ukraine. A clear signal that Germany wants to stay out of this mess.

They are doing what is in their best interests.

Maybe the US can follow suit and do the same one day...

Are Ukrainians getting their news from the West? Cause I read stories about women in their 50s training to fight.
If that is true then that shows me desperation or a sign that they are undermanned.

Or it could be some "woke" propaganda spread by The US.

I agree, nuclear is the way to go atp.

Maybe just maybe Germany does not see Russia as a threat. Them getting resources from Russia is not practical from a security standpoint. Just as much as the US has relied for so long on the ME or other sources of energy,
but Germany doesn't have the energy resources and nuclear builds take decades. Nothing but currently pragmatic... yet the US shutters or own resources in the name of converting to other energy sources, whilst defending carbon resources in distant lands.

Dont kid yourself..this is about Russian energy and pipelines....Burisma or whatever. Ungodly coincidental for the past 3 years. If there is no strategic nationalistic aims that are rewarded, then what is the point. Reading articles over a year ago and these claims of Putin wanting to reestablish empire are so freshman geo politics.

I am not claiming that Germany is pragmatic with their security needs as they made their own bed with shutting down nukes from fear of Fukushima issues. But traded fear for another insecurity.

The Pentagon said this morning Russia has moved even more troops to the border this weekend and has sent upwards of 30,000 soldiers into Belarus. One thing I haven't seen mentioned is Ukraine's investment into long range missiles. Right now they do not have the capability to target Russian forces on Russian territory however they are moving towards that capability but it won't be for awhile. So Russia's window to make a move without having a significant amount of destruction on its territory will go down over time, could be another factor.

When Russia invades they should lob a volley of those long range missiles into the heart of Moscow.

From what I understand there are cameras all over the deck for safety evaluation and accident investigation however I’d find it hard to believe they live stream any of it due to OPSEC concerns.
