War in Ukraine

From what I understand there are cameras all over the deck for safety evaluation and accident investigation however I’d find it hard to believe they live stream any of it due to OPSEC concerns.

Well too good to be true...Just saw CVN-65.
I am an idiot...would of thrown in with a pair of deuces.

The Pentagon said this morning Russia has moved even more troops to the border this weekend and has sent upwards of 30,000 soldiers into Belarus. One thing I haven't seen mentioned is Ukraine's investment into long range missiles. Right now they do not have the capability to target Russian forces on Russian territory however they are moving towards that capability but it won't be for awhile. So Russia's window to make a move without having a significant amount of destruction on its territory will go down over time, could be another factor.
Now wait a minute... just how many troops are they allegedly moving? Hell, they have it sounding like they are bringing everything they have onto the border. Do you really think they would place all of these eggs in one basket? Or is it possible that this is just propaganda?

According to my source, a large number of APVs, tanks and other ground transport vehicles arrived at the front lines earlier today. Says it’s meant to send a strong message.

I bet tomorrow we are going to see another report of Russia moving in even more troops and assets. Possibly see the same thing the day after that. And so on...
Probably right! Newsflash, it takes over whelming force to invade a large country with a large military. Here’s to hoping the invading bastards get their face kicked in!

Hey @NorthDallas40

Just came across this feed and says live. Does the USN have live carrier op footage? Just saw F-35B's taking off the QE2 in the rain and now more tropical climate Nimitz take-offs . Gun Ho vids have always been great but didnt realize live feeds across thew world.

Edit: now nighttime ops

Double Edit: Just a stream not live..duh

Live streaming would be hugely moronic, so it's probably on the agenda for the Biden administration.

U.S. offers Russia 'serious diplomatic path forward' but rejects demand to ban Ukraine from NATO

There is no shame in sitting at the table comrade. We would be willing to let Germany be arbitrator. We have no interest in ousting you from power. That would create a vacuum of power holding the worlds second largest arsenal. Please, come have vodka with us. It would be beneficial to all.

You clearly have far more sense in how to deal and speak to Russians than our so-called diplomats.

I think it is a big IF; however, if Putin is going to invade Ukraine it will be on Sunday February 13th. The ground will be frozen and the eyes of the sheep will be on the Super Bowl.

So, with all of this build up and talk of a Russian invasion, what will be the talking points or reasoning you all give if we are sitting here in May and nothing has happened?

Putin won't do anything until after the Winter Olympics have kicked off.
He'll invade right after the Olympics end, so as not to upstage his BFF, Xi.
Russian invaded Georgia right before the start of the 2008 Summer Olympics, which were also in Beijing. The coup in Ukraine and subsequent invasion of the Donbass/Crimea occurred right in the middle of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

I think those were more coincidences and not part of some strategy.

I think it’s more related to frozen ground and how it enables heavy armor mobility. If it happens in an Olympic year then it happens.
The Olympics end Feb 20. The ground will be frozen very solid. My thought is Russia invades Ukraine sometime that week.

If they do it I think they do it with a frozen ground. Definitely prior to spring thaw.

It’s entirely possible that the response to keep the ******* in check have been strong enough to keep him on his leash for the remainder of this year. Wait till next winter to see what else our idiot in chief has screwed up by then. Hell the way the EU countries are squabbling there could be further fracturing there to wait out. Germany seems more than happy to kiss Putin’s ass
