They're #2 now, but i wouldn't be surprised if they are really the best team in the country.

I will disagree. They do have speed and talent on offense but i cannot see them stopping good teams. Their defense is not that good or at least not to win the NC. Just my 2c.

I watched parts of the Oregon game last weekend. NS moved the ball somewhat effectively against them. NS was 1-10 last season. (Only win was against a weak NAIA team.) Typical Oregon...they kept their foot on the accelerator until the final tick...throwing and running. Mariota is their key to offensive success. If Mariota goes down, and they may be suspect.

Their defense is highly underrated because they give up a few points in the 2nd halves when they take their foot off the pedal. People see the final score and assume that because teams score 24 points to bad teams that they lack on defense. When its 49-0 they rest players and teams score.

Dang it. We have no luck at Oregon. Now, our punt returner has a broken wrist some say & the sky is falling because of that. We are snake bit for the rest of the year.

Nah. We will be ok

I'm not a negative nancy We got this

We have to contain DeAnthony Thomas and Josh Huff. If we can do that, I like our chances. Lyerla (TE) is a hell of a presence and will probably factor in, but unless they throw their freshman RB , Tyner, in the mix, I think our LBs and safeties can handle him. Problem is, he does well down the sideline too. Mariota is pretty inconsistent in the passing game. If they had Darron Thomas still, I'd say no way we deal with all that, but for now, we at least have a puncher's chance.

If Mariota goes down then DAT gets the ball a lot more. That is definitely not a good thing.

Our chances are really slim but I love that you have confidence in this team. There's always a chance though.

Everyone said the Vols had no chance against Miami in 85 and the Big Orange put it on the criminals from "The U".

"Who DAT? Who DAT?" (Sorry couldn't resist.)

Minus Mariota is not a plus for OU offense.

I get what he's saying though. They don't want to overload DT , but if they have to go to a back up qb they might have to. And every time he touches the ball pretty much everyone's butt slams shut. Mariota handling the ball is a better prospect from our prospective.
