We all know Biden is a consummate politician. Always has been, always will be. They all act the same way, mostly to our detriment. DeSantis is nothing but a Trump Humper who thinks he can rise in the Republican ranks by mimicking and sucking up to the Orange Dipstick. I wouldn’t trust DeSantis as far as I can throw him. Simple as that.

Genuine or not, for now, living in Florida is like living in the USA. He seems to pipe up when BS arises and I like that because he says what people with common sense are thinking.

Well if we are going to be honest about it, its seems everyone is kind of getting more emboldened/entrenched in their political beliefs over the last ten years or so. Libertarians are becoming more libertarian, Conservatives more conservative, Liberals like myself more liberal, and Leftists more leftist. The "team" mentality doesn't help matters, and I can be just as guilty of it as the next dude if I don't watch myself.

It’s ok that you’re a liberal, leftist, conservative, democrat or republican. We don’t have to agree on all our views. But what you can’t deny, no matter your beliefs or political party, is that what’s happening now is beyond wrong. We are supposed to the land of the free which enables us to choose what category we land in. That freedom is being challenged and as a conservative, I’m not sure how ugly this thing is going to get.

You're not a conservative, though. You applauded a government overreach to stop private businesses to run how they see fit.

Just as liberal as anyone who forces a bakery to bake a cake for a same sex marriage.

GTFOH! You don’t think most of the people I associate with are conservatives? You don’t think we’ve talked about it? Not ONE disagrees with Desantis. Not one! So now you’re claiming conservatives as liberal? Wow! I’ve admitted I see the point. But the point those who are arguing are missing is the fact that freedom is meant for the INDIVIDUAL! Not corporations. If you disagree please post an amendment that even has the word “corporation” in it. Until then, BIDEN tried to take freedom from the individual. Desantis gave it back.

Getting back to the OP, the vast majority of VN has always been pro-business rights (hate the gays, refuse them service, etc.). But now I see Conservatives openly supporting the State telling small businesses that they can not enforce vaccine mandates. So I mean it is a fair question to ask. Was it really about personal business rights at all, or just about hating on a minority group?

So what you’re saying is there is no amendment that protects corporations, correct? Didn’t think so. You’re wrong and so are they.

If the same freedoms extend to businesses then why am I free to be a racist POS if I choose but businesses can’t Discriminate? I’ll tell you why. The constitution is for the INDIVIDUAL person. It protects your freedom as a person. Not a business.

I’m arguing that point now. Some seem to think that businesses have the same freedoms as individuals and that’s simply not true. So I disagree. There are a lot of things I can do legally that businesses can not.

You can avoid a vaccine for religious purposes just like you can avoid making a homosexual themed cake for the same reason.
