What must be done to Unite the Country

Yep. My radar repair training was there - 1967-68. When I went back the first time in several years for the military retiree program they do every fall, the change was amazing. With the FBI/DEA center, other agencies, and so many contractors there on base, it seems like one of the few places impervious to closure.
Did Tesla teach some of the courses?

I'm not sure this even makes sense. If 90% of this country pays less than 10%, we need new tax laws. 90% of you ****ers need to pay up or GTFO.
Well, a flat tax rate plan like the one you're proposing would obviously increase the effective tax rate for low income people and decrease the effective tax rate for high income people. I just did the math based on the tax year 2018 numbers and the break even point (where the current effective tax rate equals the new required tax rate under your proposal to keep the same tax revenue) is within the "$200,000 to $500,000" adjusted gross income tax bracket. The flat tax rate would need to be ~13% (keep in mind this is just federal income tax, so payroll taxes would still apply on top of that). Less than 6% of all tax returns were in that AGI bracket or above, so taxes would increase for >90% of the population. Just to give an idea of what the effect might look like, take a fairly average working class family: Two working adults with a combined gross income of $120,000, with two young kids. So not rich, but definitely not freeloaders. That family would probably be paying around 8% flat of their total income in federal income taxes. So to go to your plan, they would see a 60% increase in the federal income tax they owe.

On the bright side, people who make $1,000,000+ each year average a current effective tax rate of at least 25%, so millionaires would get to half the taxes they pay.

(Oh, and when I say "average" working class family, keep in mind that $120,000 is actually at around the 75th percentile of household incomes.)

Did you do the math on this??? $8530 as it is in 2020 vs $6,000 if you ignored the first $30,000 and anything over is taxed at 10%... [($120,000 - $30000 - $30000) X .1 = $6,000]

I don't care what kind of tax cut the rich get. I'm worried about my pockets.

Democrats are truly stupid
Blue state exodus could flip the political map upside down, turning red states purple

But as people leave the blue states for the red states, what they’re not doing is changing the way they vote, making the red states more purple than they were before,” added Fox Business' DeAngelis.
Even the Lone Start State's Sen. John Cornyn has taken notice of the incoming wave of blue when recently admitted that “Texas is no longer a reliably red state.
Ironically and stupidly, many are fleeing from restrictive policies only to bring their blue votes with them, which could reinstate the stifling regulations they sought to escape and prop up what could be a liberal domino effect.

We didn't help rebuild Japan until we knew the threat had been completely eliminated.
So there will be no unifying until the Rs have
, been nuked, firebombed, lost millions of people, unconditionally surrendered, been disarmed, occupied, all their politicians removed, and had the consitution rewritten?

You arent really helping yourself.

In a round about way, you should look up why Eisenhower pushed for the interstate system.
Pretty sure most of the money came from the Emegency War efforts. Dont remember the exact name of the actual bill.

One more thing to add to the hopper...

The cancel culture on both sides are getting out of hand. I think we need to let go of this practice of firing people (or getting people fired) over statements that they make.
Hell Democrats want people who supported trump financially ruined and in jail. Hard to unite with nutjobs

I understand it was part of the justification.
The point is it benefits all, some more than others; and it was paid for by all, some more than others.....
whether they liked it or not.
For the common good.
As is appropriate.
japanese internment, for the greater good. Experimenting on Tuskegee, for the greater good. Eradicating native americans and moving them to reservations, for the greater good. A militarized police guilty of oppression, for the greater good. Invading Korea/Vietnam/Iraq/Afghanistan/everywhere else, for the greater good.

Your greater good is subjective bs which has directly lead to the worst of this nation.

If you actually cared about doing good you would stop using that term to defend the misdeeds of the country.

Good, make it 13% then. Unless you are still wallowing in your class warfare stance. When everyone on the tax roles pays the same portion of their income to the fed, then everyone will be the same in the eyes of the gubment. Start at 30k and from their up, pay your fair share.

Not at all. Just a repudiation of Trumpism and an acknowledgment that the whole stolen election thing was a big con.

Of course it's subjective.
I would never claim Trumpism to be for the greater good, but Trumpers certainly do.

It is? All of those things that were listed are a redistribution of tax dollars for the common good of American society. The products and services of the things mentioned are technically owned, run or maintained by the government at varying levels.

Saying "socialism is bad" as a blanket statement without context or understanding of all the good it provides is myopic.

If not for Federally funded school lunch programs there are a lot of kids who wouldn't ever get a square meal.
Yay dependency! Socialism in action

So? Work harder. Get an education. Get a better job. (Might have to move to China though after the Bidens are finished with us) Instead of vilifying those that make more than you, why don't you try to better yourself?

Or is that too hard for a feeble liberal 'brain'?

I would be in a position to pay less taxes. I don't want to pay less taxes.

So, no unification until they agree to think like you, abandon all their political ideas, and never vote a way you dont like again.

Again not helping.

How is that stupid? Like Agent Smith in The Matrix said, they are like a virus.
