There's no reason to wait that long at all. I'm not saying he has to win the title next year, but we could know much sooner whether he can do this job or not.

I factored in the vacated games. Still 19-16 was actually an improvement. Was MSU on probation when Saban took over?

That doesn't have anything to do with personnel does it?? I mean, sometime those programs get good players, and sometimes that have to work with trash. His teams never gave up from the videos I have seen, and gave a team that went undefeated a run for it's money.

He was able to start recruiting a lot better as time went on there. No one does it over night, and if they do you get a lot of violations. See the last staff.
