The current staff, IMO, out recruited the previous one. After all was said and done, we got better football players, IMO. The last staff was about confetti and pizazz, this staff is about keeping your mouth shut and hard work.

The last staff went to USC and pulled in about 8 guys on signing day.

Things that don't need to be discussed out in the open, because they have all been taken care of behind closed doors. I was only privileged to hear a small portion. I can tell you this though, there was at least a 90% chance that we would have lost Chaney and Thompson had the previous staff not left. Honestly though, if we knew what had all REALLY happened up there, we would have all been VERY adamant about sending Lane packing in the end.

I'd rather have the previous guys with no Chaney or Thompson. I don't care what the guys were doing unless UT was actually about to get in serious trouble. I very much doubt that they were.

You would be wrong, but keep telling yourself that. Lane staying 3 years or more, and we are on probation, IMO.

I know it's hard for you to understand but folks who are glad Lane's gone and Dooley's here aren't necessarily Phil fans. Personally, I'm glad Phil and Kiffin are gone and Dooley is here. Dooley's the best thing that has happened to UT in a very long time imo.

You may be right, I've heard stuff too . . . but that sounds a little "sour grapes" if you ask me. That brashness that we all loved is easy to criticize now that he's gone.

I could care less how good of a staff he could bring in, or how good he/they could recruit. Doesn't matter now.

He didn't want to be here. If he did, he would still be the coach.

I know it's hard for you to understand but people who think the new hire was awful aren't necessarily the negative people they're made out to be.

Hoping a guy, who hasn't coached a single UT game, loses big early so you can replace him just b/c you're assuming he's going to be mediocre in Knoxville certainly sounds negative to me.

Yeah, we all bought in. I'm not afraid to admit it, but I was wrong in what he was all about. VERY WRONG!!
