When “Portland” comes to your town, where are you gonna go?

What's scary is that in Canada you can be fined or punished by the government for not using someones preferred pronoun. If that's not a form of facism I don't know what is

You can in CA and NY, too. And in Europe, where most countries do not have a problem with people using preferred pronouns. Only in the Puritan Red States does anyone have a problem with this concept.

I will add a third gender. BOTH.

A problem with penalizing free speech? Shouldn't everyone have a problem with that? Are we going to fine people for calling others stupid, nasty or anything else someone may find derogatory?

For the record I don't have a problem with people wanting to be called anything. I have a problem with you telling me what I may or may not call someone arbitrarily and am even bigger problem with government mandating and enforcing it.

You can identify as a tomato if you want, but don't get mad at me when I mistakenly or even purposefully call you a person, don't ask me to participate in your delusions.

You have this backward, 99% of "Portland" wouldn't dare protest in cities unlike Portland. The vast majority of them, 95% or more, are the "tough guy in safe places" type.
Correct you are. They are granny bun sissy boys just like the punk that kicked the guy in the face from behind. Brave in packs, cowards one on one.

Let me clarify. So you are saying that if I fail to recognize someone by their preferred gender in New York or California that I could be fined by the state? I don't think that's the case. I'm already aware that some states in the country recognize other genders but did not think that punitive measures were on the table

Why would they arrest the police officers in that situation? If anything shouldn't they arrest policy makers who created and applied this policy that puts officers and the public at risk? The logic many use in that Taylor case is seriously flawed.
That's a good point. It should be directed against those that ordered that sort of raid. The more I think about the more sympathy I have for the police involved. I think the upper echelon decision makers should be held accountable though
