Where do we go from here, and does this loss effect recruiting?? (Merged)

Scroggins would be what is needed...QB is by far a hole that needs to be filled or it will not matter IMO because we need someone that will help pull in these recruits to throw to and that block for him...We do need a couple of more OL studs and think we will get them soon!...Man you know the coaches do a good job pulling this off like they did after a loss on national TV...WOW!

RB Giovanni Bernard or Michael Dyer or WR Kenny Stills
OL John Cullen
OL Juwan James
OL Morgan Moses
LB Jeff Luc or Josh Shirley
DB Demetrius Wright or Coddy Riggs
DB Dietrich Riley

I saw Bernard play at the shoe a couple weeks ago... he's quick. I think we have a good shot of landing either him or Dyer.

Yea, Bray looks like a seasons worth of conditioning is in order. He might be able to contribute as a true freshman, but don't wanna put all of our eggs in one basket....

Here's my board:

1. Cullen
2. James
3. Luc
4. Robinson
5. Quarles

6. Leifheit
7. Riley
8. Shirley
9. Joyner
10. Kouandjio
11. Riggs
12. Stone
13. Wright
14. RB (pick one out of Seastruck, Lattimore, Brown, Dyer, Bernard, Clements - I really have no preference)
15. Stills
16. Hampton

Dream 7 is bolded (if we get Cullen, James, and Robinson, I'm ok not getting Leifheit; and if we get Luc, I'm ok not getting Shirley)

I agree, Bray is it. I'm too lazy to look this up, who's the TE we have committed now?

Everyone assumes Delvin Jones is going to play tight end. There is nothing to confirm that's where he ends up but that's just where most of us think he will play.

Okay guys, we have 7 scholarships left for the '10 class (barring any decommitments). Here's my dream 7:

George Uko
Cody Riggs
Dietrich Riley
Jawaun James
T.J. Leifheit
Marcus Lattimore
Jeff Luc

While the possibilities are slim, I think the universe would explode if all signed with Tennessee.

Luc is a heavy FSU lean, but with this staff's ability I wouldn't be surprised if we became a Vol.

We are not even "in it" with Lattimore, but I think Miller and Willis might be able to sway him.

Oh the possibilities...

I'd replace Uko with Stone and that would be my dream 7.... well maybe Joyner in lieu of Riggs too......

I don't know why people think we're gonna get Scroggins. Matt Barkley performing well has done nothing to alter his perception going in. Even if Corp had gotten the nod, it was pretty much widely assumed Barkley would get the nod after or displace him at some point. If anything it speeds up the process for him to see the field. If Corp had played this year and next and gone pro after his junior year and then assuming Barkley starts for 2 years. At that point JS is a senior when he gets the nod.

Now he may the nod as a junior.

Petey will have a tough time recruiting a qb next year.

that's assuming that Scroggins committed knowing he'd sit for atleast two years behind someone.

Those of us that have hope, believe he committed thinking it would be an open comp in 11' between him and Barkley. With the way things are looking, he's going to be on the bench for atleast a couple years....

We need more OL now, cuase They will help QB better next year.
OL John Cullen
OL Juwan James
OL Morgan Moses
LB Jeff Luc or Josh Shirley
DB Demetrius Wright or Coddy Riggs
DB Dietrich Riley

I could care less for Morgan Moses I don't really think he is that great IMO but I would like to get Cullen, James, and few other JUCO OLs. I would like to get Riley and Wright to lock up the DBs. I don't think we will get either Luc or Shirley IMO and I really don't know who I would plug in there but I don't think it would hurt to take another OL instead.

We need Jeff Luc and or Josh Shirley at lb and at least 3 of these linemen, Chuckie Curry, Mat James, Jawuan James, TJ Leifheit and Stone!

Jose is one of those "Ignore the stars" prospects.

Look at his offer sheet and you'll see why the coaches are not going to tell him to look elsewhere.

From Vader he has lost about 30-40 pounds already.

If he shows up motivated and follows his nutrition and workout plan, he should be ready to contribute at center next year as the backup.

1. 2 LBs Luc/Shirley/Fortt/Jones (33%/65%/15%/25%)
2. 2-3 OL Robinson/Cullen/Stone/J James/Kouandjio/Leifheit/Moses (30%/45%/45%/65%/20%/35%/45%)
3. 1 CB Riggs/Joyner/Shaw/Bryant (40%/20%/35%/40%)

Is Farshaw that high on us?

My ideal and completely unrealistic top 7:
1 Seantrel Henderson
2 Marcus Lattimore
3 Jeff Luc
4 Lamarcus Joyner
5 Dietrich RIiley
6 Jawaun James
7 James Stone

RB Mack Brown or Giovanni Bernard
OL John Cullen
OL Jawuan James
OL TJ Leifheit
OL Damien Robinson
DB Dietrich Riley
DB Demetrius Wright or a Linebacker(Luc or Shirley)

One of those linemen could also be replaced with Stone. I really think that's a realistic list to round the class out and I would be more than happy with it.

I don't think we are going to get Cullen. I read where he would not graduate till May. I think Kiffin wants these kids in here for Spring. Especially the Juco guys. Maybe I am wrong.

Here is my list.

1. Jawuan James
2. James Hurst,Robert Crisp or Henderson
3. TJ leifheit or James Stone
4. Jeff Luc or Christian Jones
5. Kori Fortt or Josh Shirley
6. Kelcy Quarles or Chris Martin
7. Keenan Allen , Dietrich Riley, or Corey Cooper
8. (Because we always lose one) Dyer, Seastrunk, or Lattimore

I know this list is way over the top. But from watching this staff recruit that is what I am expecting. They are the best in the buisness at this. Those of us that follow recruiting are in for a treat. It is going to be fun. But what is going to be even better is watching some of these kids wear the Orange.

It is only a matter of time guys. Tennessee is building a foundation right now. We just have to give this staff a little time and we are going to be playing for championships again soon.
