I was a positive 21 with a buzz . What a year couldn't wait to watch Bird and Magic go at it .

That makes since. What a crazy game tho. Score 44 in 1st half then decide to stall and only score 11 in the 2nd!!! I’d have had a meltdown watching even as an 8yo. Thank god for the shot clock. Which now that I think about it came along around 1984 right? Thanks for the info Thunder…

Oh, I don’t know if it was a stall. I’m only saying that the rules allowed it. It was probably a combination of bad offense and Devoe going into his stall especially early. There might be video of that game on the internet. Not necessarily YouTube.

Same. 21 years old and a first year TA at NC State. Listened to the game on radio - wasn’t on TV in NC.

I was six years old, and my dad was in Army and we were stationed at Fort McClellan in Alabama.

I vaguely remember UT winning that tournament. I don't remember any of the details. I just know it's about damn time we won it again.

Freshman in high school in metro Atlanta area. I had just moved there from ET so I was already a big UT fan. My parents were originally from Kentucky and were ( and still are) big UK fans. I loved that SEC championship game that night but my parents not so much .
