Who is the Answer? (merged)

Earlier thread said Dobbs was the answer. I grew up thinking Allen Iverson was the Answer. Now, I don't know what to believe.

I think he is the question...not being sarcastic. All gonna revolve around his understanding of the playbook.

Just thought I'd make a rebuttal thread to the Dobbs one. But still why is everyone forgetting this kid.

I predict that Ferguson will be our starter during his red-shirt senior season. Until then, Peterman or Dobbs will be the starter. Of course, Worley will be our starter at the beginning of this season, but will lose the job to Peterman, then Peterman will be the starter until injury or until his graduation. Then Dobbs will be the starter. Once Peterman and Dobbs are gone, then Ferguson will be the starter.

Thoughts on Dobbs getting the nod at QB:
Dobbs Is The Answer For Tennessee

At some point, in his career, Dobbs will be the starter. He will play like Brent S. did. He will do well because he is a thinker and won't just react, as a q.b. He won't be a run first, throw secondly q.b.

The only way, that I see him playing alot this season, is if we have injuries to Worley or Peterman.

Who ever the qb ends up being is going to have to quickly learn, fit/run/sustain cbj system. With everything we've all heard about Dobbs mastering his hs playbook in a day, it's not hard to see why most see him as the guy. As we all know, It's going to be a very demanding job leading this fast paced, no huddle offense. The last thing we need is someone at the helm having mental breakdowns, killing long, fast drives. Dobbs' brain may be the only one Who can soak it all in right now.

I know Worley hasn't really had a chance, but when he has, he didn't look very well. I remember when we had Simms and didn't see Bray a lot, but when we seen him, we knew he should've been our qb. Worley may have had the numbers in hs, but I don't see him leading this team. Yes he even has the seniority, but if this was Jim Bob Cooters class would he take it in seniority also? Lol
I believe that you can't go wrong with Cooter. Always at the top of my list.

I like the idea of Dobbs because of how smart he is. Maybe not this year, but I guess I'd be happy if he surprised us. With the additions of Russell Wilson, RG3, and that 49rs qb that will not be named, the NFL may be on the cusp of a mobile (not run first, but who can scramble) type of quarterback. I would love if UT could carve out a niche for top recruits who fit that description.

I hope the best player starts this year. If that's Dobbs, I hope that it doesn't mean the other guys suck...
I think Peterman was/is pretty scholarly, too. Pretty high GPA and all. So, a lot of folks are assuming Dobbs has an edge in that dept.

I don't think even the staff knows which way to lean, at this point.

Ferguson will be 1st or 2nd all SEC at some point during his UT football career. Jmo

seriously. its pretty common sense to see dobbs' talent. anythin can happen and honestly i hope one of the two older ones makes it.

josh will have to put on 10 lbs at least to play. honestly id like to see josh take a redshirt. he'll get killed out there.

however, there is def a school of thought that similarly to peytons frosh year there is a senior line. as well an upperclassmen back. if we can trust him and let him grasp reigns, and expect that he is who he is, and ride the wave... go for it.

what we cannot do is willy nilly like dave clawson. pick one and stick with them
