No current D1 coach, short of Dawn, will make everyone on this board happy. I suggest you stop with wishing for Vic or Wes and look to a D2 coach like Kari Pickens. She's young. been a head coach for 5 years and she has the kind of won/loss that would satisfy even the most rabid Lady Vol fan. 142 -15. A national champion, 2 undefeated teams and most recent winner of the Pat Summitt award.

Have you been to a practice? She definitely makes the girls run the floor after mistakes.

The energy is infectious and if you watched her postgame interview she means business. Something tells me former lady Vols themselves are sick at the product Kellie is producing. Gordon even said “they didn’t stop anything we were trying to do” if you hire one, you hire one that actually was successful and not one that gets to ride off the successes of those who really got us here. That’s the problem, it’s not the coaching tree itself but who we pick and choose to place on a pedestal. Allow someone to come here and truly change the culture.

For the record, Bryan Tatum was not a s&c coach at mizzou state. We was with her at NC state and was a s&c coach for auburn football.

I don't know that Kara is the answer either. She's not made it out of the 2nd round of the tourney. Fans would call for her head too.

The Wes moore obsession is interesting considering he's not really accomplished more than kellie and coached 20 years more almost. Not saying Kellie is perfect but the Lawson and Wes Moore arguments are interesting considering neither has accomplished national prominence.

You teaching young ladies, and young men, that it's ok for Mom to be the boss and Dad to work for her is an awesome thing.

Try to keep up. These wife/hubby coaching combos are fairly common and quite successful across WBB.

Isn't Kellie over a million now. 1.1 million I read after the deal back in May. That's not including what her husband makes which is icing on the cake.... Between the two they make pretty good.

I don’t care who the coach is as long as they can get us #1 game changing recruits, and know how put a roster together with long athletic players.

I remember there were times I couldn't wait to get in front of the big screen in my house to watch the Lady Vols play, to see the new recruits and what they will bring to the team or will the team make a deep post season run possibly finally getting to the Final Four. These last five or more years have been hard to watch. It's like Tennessee never shows up in the big games or rarely win games that they aren't the favorites. The Sweet 16 has become the new norm. Third place in the conference has been accepted as good. There has been loaded rosters during these times but the play on the court has been just good and not great. My expectations have dropped significantly. I don't watch their games anymore. I only check score tracker when I know they are playing because it has become hard to watch a team play with little passion and sloppy basketball. I understand NIL, but Tennessee's recruiting wasn't great prior to NIL. The coaching, the offensive and defensive schemes makes you just shake your head. As a fan base, do you all think Tennessee will ever be amongst the elites again and considered a national contender?

No that dream left when Warlick was hired. In an ironic twist, now I chuckle at other programs that only have women's basketball to brag about. I'm talking about you South Carolina.

I would love to see what kind of hire a real AD like Danny White would make, unfettered by the LV cult...
