Wiseman ineligible

Wtf? Who says it is about paying players? And you're wrong. Most people think players should get paid. The NCAA is inconsistent and interprets the bylaws how and when they want to. Case is point, Wiseman.

Come on

Many people, maybe most think players should be paid from the schools and or the ncaa

Also many people if not most think buying players by paying them under the table isn’t good for college athletics and shouldn’t be allowed

I’d say damn near all people wouldn’t support a HS coach buying players

So no most people don’t side with wiseman getting money to transfer Hs and then go to college

Sorry

Does anyone else know of an instance where a team has played a player that is ruled ineligible? This just reeks of desperation and appears to be so Memphis. They will pay the price if the NCAA has anything to so with it. Is a few games really worth it?

It would be a great irony if the nation rallied around the most blatant case of impermissible benefits since the Pony Express to bring down the NCAA. It would be even more ironic if Memphis were the instigator of the NCAA's downfall, only to be left out in the cold when the power 5 break off to form their own athletic division. Kind of like Memphis's 3 day tenure in the Big East.

Well, I wouldn't care. But, football team is ranked, basketball team is ranked, women's soccer team is top 5 or 10. Since they left TBR they have made significant progress in education. The campus actually looks pretty decent. That being said, **** em if they do and **** em if they don't. I have a better feeling about us beating them when we play them.

Whats even worse is playing with him and losing.

LMAO imagine following Tiger High enough to know where their women's soccer team is ranked...

Midmajor losers will always be losers...there's multiple reasons they can't get in a REAL conference and have to play the likes of Tulane and Temple as rivals

Norvell is peacing out the second he's able to pass a background check.

I have read message boards from North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas. It is interesting that they, like basically the rest of the country, is supportive of Memphis and Wiseman's efforts but that we are so antagonistic.

Memphis really lives in our heads doesn't it?

I mean Penny got so mad at Barnes after a loss that he lied about us starting a fight and ended a press conference with "F*** Rick Barnes".

I'm not exactly gonna shed a tear when he leaves the school in shambles.

While I agree some on here may treat Memphis differently than others, they don’t “live in anyone’s heads.” They are the ones with the issue and brought it upon themselves. “Living in someone’s head” is when you are thinking about them when there is no reason to. Bad take.

No. The sad thing is that people think that buying players, in whatever form, is okay. I don't think most people are supportive of cheating.

You know as well as anyone no players were bought. Penny wasn't the coach and Wiseman wasn't a recruit when this happened. Your comment is an example of Memphis living in your head. Let it go.
