No that's not what I said, you're trying to over simplify things. On the flip side, you may find a hell of a coach, but who doesn't win...what the F good does that do? At the end of the day it's about wins and losses.
Like I said, he has beaten plenty of good teams and coaches for me to think its a coincidence. Beating LSU and Virginia the way we did isn't some fluke, it was a good job of coaching and game planning by Martin IMO.
The first half last night was a good half, I just thought we really lost focus coming out of the half, and that's on him.
This is stupid. 68 teams make it. Being one isn't any measure. Coaches in power conferences get fired for sneaking in and losing early. The XAvier team that beat us has one player and stiffs. We made a turd center look like a draft choice.
Beating plenty of good teams and coaches is the standard now by which to judge CCM's success? The fact is that CCM has never made the NCAAT in his entire career and now in season 3 at UT we are discussing what Tennessee has to do to even hopefully make the tourney and what this projection or that projection says. The discussions will continue much as they have the last two and one half years. And CCM needs to do more than win 20 games to make the NCAAT given the weakness of the SEC these days.
All those teams you posted that UT beat under Martin, how many bids did that get Martin, bTNo? I'll wait.
Let's throw out all the sh*t losses he's had while we're at it.
Austin Peay at home, swept by UGA, UTEP, A & M at home. There are just as many horrible losses that he has had as really good wins. That's his problem and why he hasn't made the dance.
Like Andy Kennedy last year? I thought he received an extension and raise last year.
Who said refs you idiot. In basketball, teams win based on foul trouble and circumstance. That's why the NBA has series you idiot. One off wins mean nothing until tournaments. Unfortunately, trends mean more and ours sucks.
Stop with the idiotic one off win crap. This is basketball. You want single game stuff, talk football.
Have I not said consistency is the issue?
This is like the 5th time I've had to question your selective reading. You're trying to call me on stuff that I agree with, if you'd read my entire post you could save yourself some time.
So, what are you arguing? You keep trying to say, "But guys, we're still in all the brackets!! This loss isn't the end of the season!!" Who gives a damn? We've seen this movie before. Sorry, if we know how it's going to end. You're holding out hope. Well keep hoping.
Lmao, dude says we have no offense while being ranked top 20 in offensive efficiency, how funny.
The nursing home needs to cut off your internet privileges gramps.
Oh, it's stupid stat idiocy for people who can't play ball. Get the hell out with that idiocy. We have no offense. Offensive rebounding, which isn't coached, is all we do well. Our post guys finally get an advantage and we move them from the bucket. You keep up the stupid of forming opinions on our offense as we beat preseason schedule and stumble into a good shooting week. That's genius.
Advanced stats against asymmetrical schedules is awesome. Keep that coming.
Virginia isn't a good team? RPI in the 20s
Xavier isn't a good team? RPI in the 20s
Calipari isn't a good coach, and didn't have a talented team? We beat them by 30.
Calhoun isn't a HOF, didn't have a good team? We beat them.
Donovan isn't a great coach, hasn't had talented and experienced teams? Martin is 3-0 against him.
Greg Marshall is a nobody, didn't have a final four team last year? Martin out coached him last year.
