I do not agree that Fox is a better x and o coach and I have seen Pearl out scheme Billy D on a number of occassions.

Nevertheless, I never thought that the UT Admin and AD would have the moxy to do what Auburn did. Heck they should never have fired CBP in my opinion. What's done is done and Auburn has hit a home-run with CBP. He and his staff will rebuild that program.

The worst part is we still got zo and will probably have him for another year. When zo does depart I have no confidence that the Vols will hire a coach even remotely as good as CBP. In case people have not noticed, it is not easy to hire a coach that can have the success of Bruce Pearl. Most coaches do not achieve what CBP did in his time here or anywhere else for that matter.

It's not that hard to get a guy capable of going to the Elite Eight once. Freaking South Carolina did it. It's just a lot harder for us because our administration sucks ass.

But I agree that UT Admin and AD leave a lot to be desired.

See this is a horrible thing, I mean really what happens next year to basketball. Conzo can't recruit, we lose McRae, Maymon, Barton, and more than likely Stokes. Who are we going to have?

I never wanted Pearl back, but it sure was fun when he was here. He lost some games against "cupcakes" , but his big wins and tourney appearances make up for any single loss.

Please explain what makes Bruce Pearl a sleazeball. It's easy to say someone has no morals but can you back that statement up? He made a mistake and lied about it. Have you ever lied? Do you have morals? To keep running the he's a liar up the flag pole is ridiculous. Had the NCAA not made an example of him nobody would give two ****s that he lied to them.

I get that bro, and I am resigned to that fact.

I have been following UT basketball for over 30 years, and during that time frame we have never had a coach as good as Bruce Pearl. Nothing wrong respecting BP for that!

So if BP is never coming back, then we need a coach very similar to him and Martin is obviously not that coach.

To this point in his career at UT, Martin has done nothing but disappoint. If Martin were half the coach or recruiter that Pearl is, it would make it a lot easier to forget BP.

But, he's not and unless things improve dramatically with the program, his days are numbered at UT.

Anyone know what the details are for the contract. If Martin stinks up the place next year, anyone think there is a chance we buyout Pearl's contract?

I've moved on...Just would like to know if there is a chance me get him back. I wouldn't see why not.
